Pet fee surprise
Hotel was fine, a little over priced probably. My only real gripe was a surprise pet fee of $30. The reason I picked this hotel over the nearby hotels was a mistaken belief that there wasn’t a pet fee. I didn’t see an indication of a pet fee on the web site. I understand if there is a fee, but I was under the impression there was not. I will say my dog was terrified of the hotel. I have no idea why.

Excellent value for the money. It is a very well kept hotel. That is not an easy thing to do so close to the ocean. The location is right in the center of town and a few minutes walk to the beach. The breakfast was also very good.

I came in around noon just to confirm my stay and to get a parking pass and stood there waiting for someone to come to the front desk for like 15 minutes and no one was around or showed up so I left. Came back in a little later and someone was finally there so I could check in. They were very polite but need someone at the desk more often!

This property is right in the middle of the main downtown section of Long Beach. Great area to stay, unload, then walk around everywhere...great restaurants, souvenir shops and beach access real close! Property has good dog access to walk them and is clean, no weird smells, not a lot of weird noises all night but yet we were on 3rd floor facing west. Free breakfast wa fabulous, scrambled eggs, omelets, sausage, potatoes, waffle maki g machine, juices, yogurts, a nice display.
