The decor in the hotel is magnificent. From the lobby to the rooms it is an architectural dream. Love the upside down portraits as well. Prime location, easy access to most tourist areas. Very friendly and courteous staff. I don't plan to stay anywhere else when I'm visiting!

Love it everything was beautiful and smelling great ! Only thing the toilet kept needing to be fixed , guessing the pipes are old , the building is one of the oldest in the city so worth it , the lounge the staff the art work we enjoyed

Not sure why guest that pay to stay at the hotel also have to pay for the hotels renovations. Also gratuity and taxes are added on to everything. It’s a bit much

The renovations are almost complete and the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfy. If you choose this hotel bc it’s a VIP Property be aware that they will not honor the free room upgrade. The only option for coffee is a dark roast in a keurig in your room or a $10 pot of coffee at breakfast.

Only gave a four star rating because the hotel room itself had a weird odor when we walked in but we brought air fresheners so that made it better . Also the elevators are way too small, my party of four plus our bags were cramped inside . Otherwise, very beautiful hotel & staff was more than welcoming , would def stay again

We have stayed at this property 8-10 times and will not return. During our stay, there was only one working elevator that could hold 4-5 people. Waiting for the elevator took 7-15 minutes since it would arrive on our floor full of people every time. As a result, we had to carry our suitcases up and down the stairs. We were also charged a $150.00 NON-REFUNDABLE cleaning fee for our dog at check-in despite never causing any need for it or being advised of this fee when booking our stay. Mind you, this fee exceeded the cost of the room itself. To say you’re a “pet friendly” hotel when booking is a hypocrisy when you price gauge them upon arrival with this bullcrap excessive cleaning fee. I seriously doubt the service staff clean the room following our stay any more than they do following a regular stay, which lately is the bare minimum. Also, heads up, you have to walk to walk to the nearest park (4 blocks away) for your dog to use the restroom. They have no place at the property or nearby for dogs to do their business. This is not lovely early in the morning or late at night with this city's latest crime trends. Again, this property is not really pet-friendly.
