My brother and i stayed at this hotel. I had stayed at Aloft Tampa a few years ago so i had high expectations. New Orleans Aloft was cool. 4.5 out 5. Pool table available, Bar downstairs and overall Solid choice.

Itā€™ll be great once they fix the alarm problems.
The hotel was clean and in a great location. Staff were friendly when checking in/out and when we had questions about things to do/which direction to take. Why two stars? Thatā€™s because on our first night at approximately 11:30pm the alarm starts blaring. Itā€™s supposed to, I get it. We get ourselves together and start heading for the stairs. Then the alarm stops and an announcement plays that there is no emergency and to disregard the alarm. Ok, back up the stairs to the room. Now repeat this for the next 30 minutes. It was so stressful and confusing and I canā€™t imagine how intense it was for the families with kids that had to go through this. There was zero communication from the front desk about this during, immediately after, or even in the morning. When I asked staff what happened, no one knew but said there were technicians on site. The second night was quiet but the alarm problems returned during the evening of day three. Iā€™m disappointed that there was zero communication from the hotel about this when it happened nor has there been any effort to reach out at all. An actual emergency would be different, this wasnā€™t.

Initially, we had a problem gaining access to the room. Upon entry, the phone was missing buttons, the TV didn't work and the toilet wouldn't flush. We were relocated to a different room and everything was fine.

One of the elevators still does not work since the last time I went six months ago. And this time the center elevator stopped on floor 12. I had to call the front desk to get someone to come and bring us down the service elevator.

I LOVE THE LOCATION OF IT THIS PROPERTY, THE CURB APPEAL IS NOT DESIREABLE AT ALL THOUGH! LOL. BUT THE HOTEL ITSELF IS VERY NICE. JUST NEED TO FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE THE HALLWAYS ON ALL THE FLOORS GET SOME AIR IN THEM. IT WAS QUITE STUFFY AND WARM, LIKE WERE THE VENTS FORGOTTEN TO BE PLACED THERE OR SOMETHING??? OH YEAH, THE BAR AREA, AT LEAST WHEN I WENT COULDN'T SERVE FOOD FOR SOME REASON OR THE OTHER. SO JUST LEFT THAT CONVENIENCE AND HEADED OUT TO GET FOOD ELSEWHERE.

This Aloft was a great selection because I did not want to be in the commotion of Nola. I was just a walk away from the major tourist attractions and meet up spots from my tourist shuttles. I also was a stroll away from healthy food options and restaurants. PM concierge was very friendly and attentive. AM concierge was somewhat friendly. There were a couple disturbances in the middle of the night with the emergency alarm, which was not ideal. the pool is on the rooftop so relaxing.. the fitness room was spacious. Great stay love ALoft
