Rude Ramada
Hotel staff was rude and uncooperative. After the hotel gave away the room from a late checkin. They would not allow a refund and stated a new room had to be paid for. After hours of disputing with both parties (Ramada and hotels.com). Hotels refunded to reserve another room. The room was reserved for another individual so I had to call to discuss. The staff at Ramada continuously hung the phone up on me mid sentence while calling them. I was frustrated but never rude to the staff. Yet the level of unprofessionalism and childish behavior by the front office is unbelievable that they can even manage day to day operations. When I contacted their corporate office to discuss the situation and the level of unprofessionalism from the staff. I was met with rudeness from Ramada since I booked the room through a “third party “. How is there any difference in booking with the hotel or a booking company to Ramada? I will never book with this hotel again.

An absolute nightmare
The WORST hotel I’ve ever been to thanks to the staff and manager. I booked a three night stay June 16th—19th, however on my first night there I was RAPED and HELD HOSTAGE in my room. The police were involved and after spending 7 hours in the hospital after my ordeal I handed in my keys on Monday. For two days the staff and manager gave me the run around, hanging up on me and refusing to refund for the two nights I did not stay in the hotel due to being RAPED there. It added so much to my emotional trauma to be treated this way, and they still will not refund. Beware and never book with the Ramada in Alpena Michigan.

New carpet and flooring in the bathroom was a plus. It was not vacuumed good there was crushed chips in places. The sheets were stained,which was disgusting! The tub/shower had several place that had mold. The ceilings needed to be painted they are nasty. Why do a couple of upgrades and leave nasty run down things as they are! We definitely wiil Not stay there again!

I was there 3 nights. Room service was only done in the second day. Some communication problem. I called the front desk early morning of the check out date, asked if possible to do a late check out, the front desk gentleman said we can do 12:30. I came back to the room at noon and found the room already prepared for the next guest and some of my personal stuff already removed! I spoke about it with the front desk. They said they didn’t have note of my late check out. I asked to speak to the manager, they said the manager is not there and not even available on the phone, but will call me (per the front desk gentleman). The manager later never called!
