Nice hotel, bad neighborhood. Wasnā€™t aware that I had to pay for parking until I arrived, no toilet paper in the room. Definitely need thicker blankets, shouldnā€™t have to ask for one. Staff was great though.

You definitely get what you pay for here. Pros: price, distance to Coliseum/BART/Airport, street food nearby. Cons: old infrastructure, safety outside of hotel. Really isnā€™t the hotels fault, but Oakland is super unsafe. I grew up in a dangerous part of LA, but even I felt a little uneasy at times. Plenty of fans walked back at night, so felt fine. There are tons of great street food options during the day. I get the sense that drug dealers were using the property, but they didnā€™t bother me & I didnā€™t bother them. Mind your business and you should be fine. Place was clean, but itā€™s an old building. Considering the state of Oakland right now, canā€™t say I blame the owner for not investing more $$ into it.

We walked to the Oakland collisium for an A's game. There seemed to be an abandoned homeless encampment down the strech of road. The hotel room was small for our family, but we fit just fine. We were out most of the time anyways. We did feel safe. The noises we heard were from the staff cleaning. Room came with a microwave and mini fridge!The freeway is less than a mile away, so that could get loud. There were good food(Mexicana and Central American)trucks galore right outside the hotel! That was a pro! The walk at night to the stadium was about a mile and a half. Straight line. But there was a lot of trash a long the way.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a concert. The first night our linens smelled like vomit but thankfully we let the staff know and they gave us a fresh set. The rest of the room was pretty clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We Enjoyed our stay here. There is also a 24hr gym about 2 blocks away with free 3 day pass which was very very nice they had a huge pool sauna, basket ball court and more. Would definitely come back. *only down side is that it is located in sketchy area* besides that our neighbors were very friendly and we felt safe inside :)
