Cozy and Quaint Stay
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gary and Irma were great hosts. Loved the hand written welcome card, box of goodies, k cups, and some fresh eggs in the frig. Bed was comfy and perfect location to visit our son for Homecoming weekend at Colby. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is Fantastic! All the comforts of home, with amenities we did not expect. Some food items in cupboard(soup, oatmeal,pancake mixā€¦) Eggs, butter, milk, water, apple sauce in fridge! A fully stocked kitchen with silverware, pots, pans, and all kinds kitchen appliances. Even a bottle of wine! Comfy bed and bathroom was stocked with all necessities, in case you forgot anything! Plush bath towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Hosts were very fast to respond to all questions. They really thought of everything. If you are planning to be in the area this is a definite must stay!!

Wonderful hosts and a comfortable apartment
We found the apartment very clean and comfortable. Gary and Irma are very responsive hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. We had an issue initially that they promptly resolved. We especially enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches, particularly the food items in the kitchen.

Great apartment for our stay
Owners provided all the necessities for a home away experience including small details that made it an enjoyable weekend. My only suggestion is to provide the VRBO client with the recommendation to copy down the instructions for access to the property before arriving. Verizon service is not great in the area and I had to drive out of the area to access VRBO app and the lock box code in the message center, then drive back to the address to be able to enter the apartment. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Wonderful welcoming touches in a great location
An absolutely wonderful stay. The communication was excellent and the directions and explanations about where to park and how to get into the apartment were superb. The apartment was much larger than we expected. Lots of room for the three of us and could have easily managed another person. The welcoming touches were lovely: a note with some treats. The bedroom is private but the second bed is in the main room that also holds the couch and TV plus the eating table. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with a fridge and freezer, coffee maker, and lots of supplies if you want to cook. They left us eggs and have lots of spices and condiments. The bathroom is big and we really enjoyed the big fluffy towels. The location is great, only 13-15 minutes from Waterville and from Colby College. A very easy and scenic drive. A couple of small points to know. You do have to go up a set up stairs to get to the apartment so it is not wheelchair accessible. The windows don't look out on anything fancy so you don't get to enjoy the surroundings (the pond, etc) from your room. And I did recommend blackout curtains for the bedroom as the sun comes up early in Maine in late May. Thank you for providing a great stay for our daughter's graduation weekend!

Small Town Peacful Living
I have never had a better stay than here in Oakland. My first day when I checked in the key was in the key box and I already had the combo to open it. When I walked in I felt like I was walking into my Nanas House everything was immaculately clean but at the same time just cozy and peaceful. I felt like I was with family and not alone like I was. I walked into the kitchen and on the counter was a card welcoming me as well as 2 small bottles of wine some chocolate covered macaroons, a bowl full of raisins and some homemade banana bread with directions on how to heat it up. The bedroom had big bed a walk-in closet a chase lounge a desk with directions on how to connect to the Wi-Fi as well as big comfortable chair and a stand alone mirror. The living room had a comfy couch and two comfy chairsā€¦ laid on the couch many times exhausted after work. You have your own designated parking space and you are within a couple of miles of anything you might need on your stay.Overall it was just a very homefelt place to stay and I would recommend this home to anybody looking to stay in this small little town.

Two major negatives with this property. First, the shower water pressure was non-existent. We tried to find another place to stay because the shower was horrible. Second, the main bed needs to be replaced. We rolled to the middle all night. Overall just not comfortable.

This place was the best we have stayed in as far as Vrboā€™s go. Gary and Irma had nice little touches with the little things like fruit, cookies, eggs to cook, and coffee. This property was great. The apartment itself was really comfortable and the hosts left some local jam and eggs (and a few other welcome gifts), which was a very thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend someone else stay here, as it was exactly the relaxing place we were looking for.

We enjoyed our stay. The host provided a goodie basket with wine and I was pleasantly surprised to find basic breakfast items in the fridge. After a long travel day, those items were lifesavers. Quiet and comfy - very relaxing.
