We just went down to OCMD for the night to attend the extended White Marlin Open. We arrived early and inquired if we could simply park at the hotel since we thought it was too early to check in and so we didn't have to pay to park elsewhere. The gentleman at the counter checked and since our room was ready we were graciously permitted to check in early. It was much appreciated and we acknowledge how nice it was for them to allow us to do so. The room was clean and was everything as promised. We checked out early Sunday morning and headed home. The location of this hotel to not only the boardwalk and any other activity is incredible. You can walk basically everywhere to anything. We will return.

Overall everything was great. The only 2 things that I did not like was the small parking lot that was difficulty to get out of and the seagulls waking us up at 5:30am in the morning. Other than that, would recommend this place to other.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wellington! The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful; the room was clean and the bed was SO comfortable; the location was so convenient, just steps from the boardwalk and beach. We cannot say enough great things about this hidden gem. This will be our go to when coming to OCMD from now on!

Very clean place, room is small but looks fairly newly restored, bed was comfy, love the rocking chairs on balcony and free parking. Only issue was there was no iron in room…housekeeping will press 1 item for you then you pay $10 for each additional peice (unheard of) boardwalk is step’s away, beer and wine convenience store also steps away

Good but could have some details addressed
The Wellington is an older style hotel but has been updated. You can’t beat the location as it is just steps to the active part of the boardwalk and beach. The room was very clean and the beds super comfortable. However, there are some details that could be addressed: The door lock is about as secure as the lock on my bedroom door at home and there is no inside securing mechanism. The water pressure in the shower was quite low. Installing a shower head that converts low pressure would make all the difference. The A/C worked hard to keep the room cool. The weather during our stay was overcast and not overly hot. I can imagine what it would be like on super hot and humid days. Overall, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. We were on the 3rd floor which is actually 4 floors up since ground floor is storage and maintenance. So we got our cardio in during the stay. I would stay here again but my early 20’s daughters who like to complain about 1st world problems were “meh” on staying there again. You honestly can’t beat the location.

We had a wonderful stay.. The people at the reception were very polite and courteous.. Broad walk is just 2 min from the property and the area was very safe with a convenient store right next to the property where you can get all the necessary stuff including beer. Rooms were small but very clean and well maintained. Definitely would recommend this place..
