Checking in was such an easy process. There was a young male (can't remember his name) his mother and I share the same date of birth....that's how easy it was talking to him was. He was very attentive and informal with me. It made my stay so much more better. I really enjoyed my weekend away.

Wasn't happy about the price of parking 26 a day. Supposed to be pet friendly but didn't have a place for dog waste. No trashcan out front. Lots of stains on the carpets in the lobby. Front desk were all very helpful and kind, very nice experience with them all. Housekeeping on the other hand was not. Didn't speak any English. Got locked out of my room they refused to let me in. I'm handicapped and had to go all the way to the lobby for another key that didn't work and had to go back down again all with a cane and my large dog in tow.

The hotel is located in a relatively new part of town. There are a lot of restaurants very close by. This is a dog friendly hotel, so I thought the pet fee was kind of steep. And the dog walking area is very limited. The rooms are in a strange configuration, but worked OK for one person. I wish they would’ve had a chair and a desk instead of, a booth like set up with a very small table. I thought the breakfast options were OK but it took way too long for the orders to be completed. You need to figure at least 20 minutes before you get your food.

I arrived at 11 pm only to be told that the property was overbooked and I was being walked to another hotel, the Westgate Palace. After being assured by both hotels that I wouldn't be charged if I were to stay at the Westgate, I decided to do just that because I was exhausted from traveling for over twelve hours the previous day. Imagine my surprise when I get an $800 charge to my credit card the day after checking out. And there was zero reimbursement from the Aloft for the four days I did NOT stay there. I had stayed at the Aloft twice previously--after this, I doubt I ever will again.

Odd that for a busy Orlando hotel the bar was closed both nights I was there - Sun and Mon nights. And there’s really nothing within easy walking distance. Needs an update, a little dated and dingy. They are stingy on the towels. The upside was that all the staff were very nice, friendly.
