Quite simply one of, if not the best hotel I have stayed at. Getting there was the only challenging part for me because I took the wrong bus. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus that in retrospect I should have taken advantage of. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond to answer any questions and make my stay comfortable. The views from the lobby and my room were breathtaking. The room and bathroom were very spacious. I wish I stayed longer, but I only stayed one night and did not have enough time to take advantage of all the many hotel amenities. The onsen was fun and the breakfast buffet was incredible. Overall, it was an incredible experience highlighted by the hardworking and welcoming staff.

Beyond the hotel, Atami itself is a charming getaway with beautiful gardens, relaxing beaches, and rich cultural sites. The hotel's proximity to these attractions makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. Overall, the New Akao Hotel delivers an exceptional blend of luxury, relaxation, and authentic Japanese hospitality.
