room is great. strike was a bit of a let down and I could hear it all the way from my room of all hours of the day, plus airplanes woke me up in the am - so I had to request for ear plugs. some places weren't open within hotel and I assume it's due to the strike. spa wellness classes were complimentary and awesome.

Skip this hotel - better options. Blackout blinds?
Hotel was fine but after staying in Vegas for the last 20 years, there are some definite misses. Our room was clean and comfortable but 2 major issues: 1) No blackout blinds! Every Vegas hotel I've stayed at has had the blackout blinds figured out and for some reason no matter what we did, tons of light still slipped in. Made sleeping in much harder. 2) Weird noises - building/window settling - Basically, we hear creaks and cracks throughout the morning and we had no idea why. It was by the main windows but was loud enough to wake us up multiple times. It sounded like wind was messing with the window seal or something? Overall, better hotels are available. There also is a workers strike there right now and its a weird vibe. I'd skip this one. They need to up their game to compete.

The hotel wasn't what it used to be, it feels a little less safe. Room and premises were clean. Didn't know that cooks were on strike when we arrived, some were yelling at everyone who wanted access to the hotel, whether walking or driving. Didn't like that the sports bar near the pool was closed.

I’ve loved staying here many times, as they are so dog friendly, the casino/bar crew and concierge folks were lovely, and it’s near the strip but also away from all the over the top tourist nonsense. But this time there was much too much going on and I won’t be staying there again anytime soon. I didn’t know about the workers strike until I was driving up to the blaring music and picket signs. Then a number of restaurants and all room service were shut down despite still charging a resort fee. On top of that, they chose to have an emergency alarm test in the rooms from 9a-10a ruining my sleep and driving my dog crazy.There was almost no one staying at the hotel. Everything was empty, despite the booking price cuts. It was just an overall sh*t show.

Someone should have told us the culinary union would be protesting and cursing at guests and that all the restaurants would be closed. The hotel sent a long email about the hotel and its accommodations after we booked. Even after booking there was no warning about the protesting and extremely limited dining options. Someone at Expedia or Virgin should have given us a heads up.

Unfortunately our stay was not as pleasant here as other Virgin hotels. There were employee strikers outside who were screaming profanity at guests so there was a lot of noise. The lack of restaurant services and staff made the vibe a little off. Honestly would avoid until they sort out their internal grievances.
