This hotel opened in 1846 and it is in great shape in a true Parisian neighborhood in the center of a passage of shops and cafes. My room had bedroom and bathroom windows that opened to the roof tops of Paris and the glass roof of the Passage Jouffroy that glowed pink at night; such a great view! I didn't pay for hotel breakfast as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants outside the door and in the neighborhood offering a variety of cultures of food. Close to bus lines or 20 minute walk to Gare du Nord central train station. I am older solo female and felt safe in hotel neighborhood but always careful around any central train station for pick pockets, etc

Hidden Gem
Such a unique hotel, lots of character. Nice to stay somewhere a little different with so much charm. Staff warm and welcoming, even the hotel cat is very chilled which our daughter loved. Great location, lots of bars, cafes, bistros and restaurants nearby and transport links fab. Hotel is down a beautiful passageway which means a good quiet nights sleep too.

Hotel Chopin is perfectly placed for a short trip from London. Central position making access to most major attractions walkable. The hotel itself is fabulous, beautiful decor, first class staff, comfortable beds, fantastic dining room and a hotel cat! Highly recommended!

Hotel Chopin was a lovely stay. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Especially as I left one of my belongings there as I was leaving, they helped return it to the UK. The hotel itself its in Jouffrey passage with independent coffee shops and gifts stores etc so there is a lot to do. Its right in the centre with Gare du Nord being a short taxi ride away. The room was clean and had everything that was needed for a basic stay. Small hotel, but great value for money.

We reserved the budget friendly room for one night. We knew it would be small, but it was filthy. Carpets, walls and hallways were disgusting. I have pictures if needed. The bathroom had been remodeled, but we couldn’t even stand up in shower due to the dormer. Breakfast was ok with fresh squeezed orange juice. Room 413 is an abomination.

Situated in a lovey quiet alleyway. Quaint shops and good restaurants all around. Good breakfast but very small space for breakfast. Staff friendly and helped with luggage. Front desk should have explained about after hour closing of the alleyway. Got stuck outside and had hard time getting back to the Hotel. A bit scary, especially when your tired after a long day. Otherwise nice Hotel.

Weekend in Paris
Beautiful hotel with lots of character. Great for the price. Superb location in one of Paris' premier passages. Would benefit from a little maintenance in shower so head doesn't need holding. Would be a quick fix and make it much easier to use. Otherwise loved it!!! Lovely bars and restaurants right near by. Close to metro. Comfy.

Great location. Out of date needs refurb
We chose the hotel based on a glowing review in an Australian newspaper without researching any other options . Staff were fantastic. Room good although hot. Electric fan but didn’t help in excessive heat. Bathroom no fan which I thought odd. Bathroom small. Shower needs larger shelve for toiletries. No hairdryer in room. Needs redecorating and modernising. Decorators were onsite decorating public areas. Overall a great location to key attractions with very good staff. Refurbishment and sorting out proper air con would improve my ratings
