Great hotel. I really loved staying there. The foyer is grand very nice to place to eat, drink, relax and have conversation. The pool view room was great. Super comfy bed, large room, large bathroom with separate bath and shower. My only observation was that the furniture was looking dated and has outlived it prime. The stained seats in the lobby coffee area were disappointing and take away from the overall experience. Same for the desk in the room which look like they have been painted numerous times in an attempt to cover scratches which was unsuccessful. If not for these issues the rating would be excellent.

Night before early flight

I stayed in this hotel as I was flying early the next morning. The hotel is slightly dated and like many reviews have mentioned there is a musty smell in the corridors. The staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is very conveniently located right by the terminals and there is a shuttle to take you to the departure check in area. The restaurant onsite is good. Some say reasonable. I think borderline. The room was comfortable and had everything you need for a short stay. Would use again.

Only due to location

Rooms desperately need a fresh up. Torn wallpapers, worn carpets and not a power outlet next to bed were some of my findings. Check-in took more than 20 minutes due to congestion in reception. However the bed is ok and location excellent if you need to stay overnight in BKK.

Super convenient to the airport. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great lobby, good rooms. The main downside: check in takes forever. With just 3 parties in the queue it's a 10 min wait.

Excellent option for staying the night before flying out of Bangkok - very convenient and a decent hotel. We paid for lounge access, which was worth the extra money. And the staff were great.

Very nice and convenient

The hotel lobby area is first class with an array of restaurants and cafes. The condition of the second floor hallways was not so good. I assume Hyatt is working on a remodel. Overall I will recommend the hotel to friends.

Impressive hotel lobby

Although the hotel lobby looks impressive the rooms are shabby run down the carpets were covered in stains the furniture was dark and scratched. It was convenient for the airport especially as I was there solo. I am over 65 and was out on the top floor. Considering the recent earthquake tremors and the likelihood of maybe more tremors they didn’t take into account my age and agility if the hotel were to be evacuated!

The curtains can only close halfway (by design) and light from airport sign at night is bright for light sensitive sleeper like me. 2 of the bathroom light has no switch to turn them off. The place has a smell that I can’t describe (probably poorly ventilated). Otherwise its very clean and very well located to airport and only a few minute underground walk to the airport terminal.
