The hotel smells like sewage and is really worn down with paint to “dress” it up. The bed are super uncomfortable and you can feel the springs in them. The furniture is best up and the chairs so dirty you don’t want to sit down. Also the fridge didn’t work so I food had to be thrown away. No one was staying there but every room had a light on it it and seemed super wasteful. Loud tennis center nearby and no ambiance. Was definitely not what we expected based on the other reviews. Very dingy and run down.

I hope our stay was not indicative of how things typically function at this hotel. When we were there they were in the middle of a renovation and transition but basically none of the amenities were available that were stated in the information. It was a very hot day outside and we wanted to use the boats in the middle of the lake but there was pretty much no guidance on how to do so. When I asked at the front desk they just said it's really hot outside so nobody is out there to help. Which is fair, factually speaking but why they didn't have more information or a sign at least, was surprising to me. Given that Phoenix is unbearably hot several months out of the year I would think they would have some kind of protection or a covered space by the lake . Also the pool was not available for our use due to some kind of maintenance. It just felt like the people at the front desk were more annoyed with me asking questions than helpful. There were also a few items that were not working properly in our room. From the photos and description this hotel over promised and under delivered in my opinion.

Beautiful property on the lake. Incredible sunsets from the room balcony! We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant on the lake and both meals were fantastic. Geese and ducks are so adorable on the property. Great for kids if they like to feed the ducks.

The food in the restaurant did not taste good at all. Very greasy, hard on the stomach, and several times there was no one in the bar bartending. I waited 15 minutes once after asking the front desk if they could find someone. Would have been nice if there was a jacuzzi on site. Probably won't go back

I've stayed here twice over the past several years and every time there was neglected construction on site. There was a rainstorm this time and multiple leaks all over the lobby areas and hallway. On top of that, both times they mischarged my card for services we did not purchase and made it extremely difficult to track down. The grounds are nice enough and the location is fine, but there's plenty of better options around for the price when it comes down to it.

We did get an upgraded room however we ended up having to change rooms after a few nights because for some reason they were redoing the tubs in the rooms. The smell was overwhelming!, the fridge was not functioning properly as foods were freezing. Had to replace the hairdryer that wasn’t functioning properly. The second room had a broken fridge door. I’m sure I missed something. The mattresses in the rooms really need replacing! Very lumpy and hard. Tough stay. Staff was ok but they were really not apologetic nor were we offered anything for the inconveniences.

The property is an outdated motel that used to be a “resort” hotel decades ago. You do not want to believe those professionally taken photos on the website, deceiving you. The rooms are old and cheap, somewhat creepy in the evening. In addition, a valuable belonging ($130 worth) I left behind on the desk in the room was taken away by a house keeper, never made it to Lost & Found. It took me 6 calls in 4 days to find out since all persons at front desk never called back after they said they would… Finally, after 4 days of check-out, I was told it was not brought in, and that’s what it is by the manager (Cathy). I admit that leaving something behind was my fault, yet a decent hotel with some class and hospitality would not allow this experience to their guests, nor treating the customers in the way they did… It is a 1.5 star large motel. Charging “resort fee” for this (also, pool is closed, bar is closed, restaurant in the backroom, patio is covered by the pool construction dust) is the premier you are paying for… I would never let my family or friends stay here, and those who read this can benefit from risking your biz/leisure travel suffer the harm. Avoid risk; There are other reputable hotels in the area, much closer to Scottsdale downtown, etc. BEWARE, fellow travelers.
