After a few days, the food gets boring. There are not enough beach chairs for everyone to enjoy. I unknowingly sat on beach chair for the sun club members, which I was unaware of. I was then kicked out of there by an employee. I paid $740 a night for 3 nights here. It definitely was overpriced. There are also repairs that need to be done on the grounds - cracks, etc. I witnessed a child trip in an area by the restaurant that had bumps and cracks here and there. Be sure to watch closely when walking around there. To navigate supper and breakfast, they close off certain areas and fence parts here and there, making it a longer walk just to have a bite.

We enjoyed our time spent at Sunscape. The staff were friendly, the resort was lovely, the beach was nice, but the food options weren’t very good. We had trouble finding food to serve our daughter (11mo) and to eat ourselves most days. (And we also saw a couple of cockroaches at the end of our stay which was unfortunate). They seem to be on their way to catering to younger families. The location was also quite convenient.

Food left much to be desired. Buffet line for breakfast was long. Went to Seaside Grill one night and got food poisoning. Hotel " credits " were not actually credits but coupons for overpriced items. $40 USD off a $200 USD massage is ridiculous. Shower would switch from warm to scolding hot and back constantly. Tiki Taco restaurant was extremely hot. $45 USD to restock the 4 beer in the mini fridge is ridiculous. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Da Mario restaurant was good. The cleaning staff were great to deal with and left the room spotless

Nice location great pool and the staff are friendly, happy and accommodating. The property is a little older and some maintenance items are falling behind but they seem to be working on them. The pool deck has several unusual steps up and down that I witnessed people trip over more than once so you have to watch out for yourself.

We got into our room and the AC was not working. The AC was dripping water into the hallway, they had a towel on the floor. They offered us a room the next day which was across the construction site. They said it was the only room they can offer but “don’t worry they stop working at 2 on the weekends “ we stayed Thurs to Fri. The alcohol was being poured from recycled plastic jugs. The restaurants did not allow men to enter in tank tops, were on the beach ! The pool was closed early the first day due to a child pooped in the pool. Unfortunately this was not a good first impression. I will not be staying there again.

Too many weddings with loud techno music all night, every night. Jack hammers during the day. Not enough bar tenders. Sodas all flat. Food was the same and too much pork on the menu. Toilet leaking at base and they “fixed” it with thick caulk. Electric plug in bathroom falling out of wall, not functioning; they did not repair after we asked them to. Bad location near where river flows into beach, so red flags up all 4 days and could not swim in beach. Special restaurants not open every night. No air conditioning in specialty restaurants and they have dress code which made it for a hot miserable dinner. Could not take food poolside. Concierge kept bothering us about excursions. Horrible experience overall!

The staff was very friendly but not very helpful. I complained twice that my hair dryer didn’t work but nothing came of it. The sink in my daughter’s bathroom was clogged, the ceiling looked like it was about to fall in and the food was not good at all. In spite of it all we still had a fun vacation but wouldn’t go back to the Seascspe.

I visited Sunscape in 2019 and liked the resort and specially the food and decided to return this summer 2024 with my family, 12 people total, 4 different rooms. I noticed that the property hasn't been maintained, it looks ran down. I upgraded to a suit with beach view and it looked very old, furniture, couch, everything looked old. The bed sheet has a blood stain and twice we had to call to get it replaced. House keeping was always late and we had to call, one day they didn't even leave towels. The food was bad, nothing like what it used to be. The dining was also limited. Lines were very long and when they would finally sit us, there were not enough waiters to serve our drinks, and we couldn't do it ourselves because the buffet didn't give us the option to serve our own drinks. The pool lounge chairs were always taken. One employee specifically watched over 6 chairs because the guests gave him money. It didn't seem fair at all. The beach didn't have enough seating and we were not allowed to use the towels at the beach. The bar didn't have chairs or stools to sit on. Bar line was also long all the time. There was less seating available from what it used to be. Lack of communication between employees. No AC or fans in lobby area. Lot's of bees at the buffet restaurant, which made it difficult to eat. The only restaurant I enjoyed what the Italian one, great service. However, I would NOT return or recommend Sunscape.

I did not like the fact that I was charged a early (11am) check in fee and was not given a room until regular check in time (3pm). Hotel staff advised me that i only paid to eat and drink early and i did not pay for the room. When I finally got my room, I noticed it wasn’t the room I had booked. I brought this up to the staff and they advised they were doing this for me as a favor. When I walked into my room I noticed it was hot and the AC was not working. In addition, the room was next to the party pool, which is what i was trying to avoid. The staff then changed me to a different room, and advised they would rather me stay in this room instead of refunding me my money. The room was still hot and humid and the AC in this room was unacceptable. The food at this resort was poor and its not worth the high price I paid for this resort. I would recommend you avoid this resort unless you want a mediocre hotel. This is by far the worst resort I have ever stayed in while vacationing in Mexico.
