This is not a five-star resort! The food was average. The buffet food had no seasoning or flavor. The fact that the restaurants and bars on the property are closed all day until 6:30 pm should be advertised!! The casino is the size of my living room and doesn't open until 7:30 pm. There is nothing to do besides sit at the pool or beach until then besides eating at one of the two buffets until late evening! It rained while I was there and all the floors were flooded with water. You could not walk anywhere without stepping on a puddle. People placed towels in front of the doors so the water won't enter the rooms. Drinks were extremely watered down and not worth it. I give this place a 3 out of 10.

This property was beautiful but there is mold in the rooms all the rooms i booked three rooms on three different accounts all on three different levels they all smelled bad, like mold, i complained and they say because of the humidity, the sheets were wet everyday. If they investigated this property im sure it will be shut down causing harm to all residents of the hotel. This is nasty. One room we found a cockroach. We asked for room service and the food is garbage the first 3 days terrible

Visited this property as a family vacation and expecting a five star experience I have to say we were disappointed with many things. First the room had numerous issues of poor maintenance. No hot water, toilet was not flushing properly, the drawers were not closing correctly, the iron wasn’t working, air conditioner was turning off because of the balcony door not closing properly and was auto turning off the ac, door frame was loose and fell on my son while attempting to exit room, The property is beautiful but the beach had garbage washing up including a used condom. We never went back to the beach and only used the pools at the resort which are nice. The manager did change our room but then forgot to add to the system and the staff had no idea what we were talking about when we couldn’t get back into our room. Beautiful property but beach should conduct proper maintenance daily due to many boats anchored close to shore) which is probably the reason for the filth on the beach) Maintenance needs to be more attentive to the missing drains, loose tiles and shower drains. Food and drinks were basic. Definitely not a 5 Star experience!

Since I just came back from my trip to the Dominican Republic and stayed at the Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort. Here is my thorough review on this beautiful, amazing hotel. First off, when choosing hotels. I wanted to make sure my hotel had a lot of photo opportunities, amazing food and amazing vibes as in, it wasn't too relaxing but not overly a party resort, the beach had to be amazing too. I felt like this resort was PERFECT. Hit right in the middle of what I was searching for. there were 9 restaurants tons of bars and a club. There were events EVERYDAY. Whether it was on the beach, by the huge infinity pools, in the theatre, in the club etc. They have an entertainment team that made the hotel soo lively and soo wonderful. There was never a dull moment which made my stay amazing. I became friends with two of the entertainment people, Perla Negra & Pinky, they made our stay amazing and are soooo talented at what they do! The food was amazing! I feel like for resort food it was a delicious! I really, highly recommend the french restaurant, hibachi restaurant, steak restaurant, and mexican restaurant as my top choices! The beach was BREATHTAKING. Super soft white powdery sand, blue waters, when I went there was no seaweed until the last day after a storm. Overall, this resort exceeded my expectations.
