Services is terrible, food is not good and over cook, telephone on the room does not work ( if have an emergency you cannot call), room In bad condition , house keeping steals. Is not safe to stay .Plastic cups on the beverage area dirty ( you can get sick). We DONT Recommend this hotel. Also no welcome drink and explanations when you arrive . Worse experience ever

I’ve visited 3 resorts already in Punta Cana, Riu was okay. I feel like the food and restaurant choices are very limited. We were disappointed to see that their hibachi restaurant was actually not an actual hibachi but it was a buffet. Overall in terms of entertainment there’s always something to do. I requested an iron to my room because the one there wasnt working....i called more than 10 times from 3:30 pm since i had a reservation @ 6pm they didnt send it at all. The food was wack! Only fresh vegetables.....also my tv wasn't working i had to call for them to bring me a different one... Riu bambu Dr is so far the worst riu ive been to...they need to take the time out and renovate the property

Unfortunately I was not too happy with my stay. The room had so many problems as soon as I arrived the first day and went on from there. Towards the end of the night I realized things didn't work like the shower drain was clogged, the safe vault did not work, TV remote would not change channels, and the outlets where not working to charge a simple cellphone. I also had my room card stop working the next day and had to return three times to the lobby to try to access my room at least once. I had to walk back and forth with my kids in the heat. I was so upset because it was a long walk as well. This vacation was meant to a birthday vacation and an enjoyable one at that. It did not turn out that way. I was never offered an upgrade either for all the hassle I went through for three days. I had to demand to talk to the manager after having to return three times to gain access to the room! When you go on vacation a room should be ready in every way for the customer paying for it. I had to wait in my room for each person assigned to the vault and door to come and service each problem (The vault issue happened twice as well)! Riu has to do better when it comes to booking rooms for customers that are unfit to have booked in the first place!

The Riu Bambo Was a downgrade from all of the other Riu resorts I have stayed in in the past. There was no transportation to/from rooms on site leaving to walk extremely long ways. The shuttles only took you to near by resorts and casino.My room was extremely far from the pools and entertainment. I was extremely exhausted legs and ankles swell too much walking the entire trip an barely wanted to go out aftet coming to and from my room. It was a family resort however the kids stayed in the bar and the adult pool the entire time. There should be limitations on where the kids can be. I was very dissatisified because I did not bring my kids. Resorts needs to be upgraded not worth price. No remote to warch tv which I reported friday night. They said they would bring early Saturday and didnt. I didnt get a new tv until 9pm Saturday so I watched the walls. Resort had large bugs in it that looked like big roaches. I will not return. this was my second visit to Punta Cana, and this one was the worst. My first resort was adult only and beautiful with lots of entertainment. The entertainment here sucked after dinner all shows and entertainment seem like it was only for the kids, which they have should have been going to bed.
