Bed was very comfortable and room was nice. Keys didn’t work the first time and the pool was closed until later in the evening so we couldn’t use it. No restaurants within walking distance.

We had a medical emergency the morning of the day of our reservation and had to head straight home after going to urgent care. I stopped at the hotel to explain why we would not be able to stay. The clerk said she could not cancel our reservation; it had to be done through Expedia. As soon as we got home 4 hours later, I tried to cancel through Expedia but could not because we were past our deadline. I called the hotel directly and explained the situation again. They said they would cancel our reservation but we would still be charged the full cost of the room. (A medical emergency was obviously not their concern.) I understand they were within their rights to charge for us for the room but I would have expected a little grace under the circumstances. We had no desire to cut our trip short and were very discouraged with having to do so. A little understanding from the hotel would have helped ease a difficult day. We go to Spokane frequently and I believe we will use a different hotel in the future.
