Loved the idea of sleeping in a train car! It was clean for the most part, but little things like hairs in the bathroom here and there and dust on the windowsill. I also wish someone would have told us about the radiator heaters and not just the plug in heater.

It is a very unique experience to stay in a caboose. Each interior is finished into a comfortable room, or more, with a nice bathroom. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are handy. TV has plenty of station choices. The people are very friendly and helpful. We will probably come again.

we enjoy staying at the quirky and/or historical places which this certainly was. It was only a couple miles to Sight and Sound Theatre and about 1/2 mile from the Strasburg RR. Restaurant on site was convenient.

This was our second annual stay at the Red Caboose Motel. We are already planning for our October 2025 visit. The train cars are clean & comfortable. The staff is wonderful! We had a very nice time!

It was a small mediocre room. Nice sleeping mattress. Good shower and bathroom tv n coffee maker. But the chance to sleep in a real caboose and eat in their rr car was a great treat for rr buffs like my wife n I.

So cute & unique ā€¦ very clean & staff was so friendly & helpful. We visited the miniature horse farm that was literally 5 minutes down the road & also did a farm tour that Kreider Farms runs. The petting zoo,the store & the restaurant on the property are really nice & we were only about 5 minutes from Sight & Sound which was the main reason for the trip.

Fun place and friendly staff. Everything was immaculately clean. The place is starting to show some age and the shower head only was as high as my shoulders. (Donā€™t think my son who is a foot taller would be able to stand in the shower.) But overall experience is five stars. Highly recommend!
