Everything that could go wrong did!
Got there to check in and waited about 10 minutes before someone came to the desk. After about another 5 minutes on the computer and programming the door keys, finally! Grab our suitcases take the elevator to the 4th floor elevator dings and the door doesn’t open and back down to the second floor then the lobby and back up to the 4th floor and this time we were able to get out.
Room seemed decent enough so we left our stuff and headed to the restaurant next door. Had a nice dinner and headed back to the room. Now our key doesn’t work, back down to the lobby. She reprogrammed the keys and headed back to the room, yay it worked. We get in and there is a note there saying they gave our room to him! WTH! The note said we should go complain which I did. She confirmed that happened, said sorry they gave me the wrong room initially then gave it to the other person. I’m wondering what is the computer for in all this! Long story short she credited me $20, which I feel should have been more like $50 or comp the room to make it right. We stay at La Quinta Inns all the time and have never experienced anything like this. Beware!
