Holidays To Saitama

Trips to Japan usually centre on the capital city of Tokyo, but there’s plenty of other cities to visit within the greater metropolitan area.

Like Saitama, which is home to Shinto temples, heaps of interesting museums and a whole bunch of other awesome attractions for you to enjoy. Check out Wotif’s insane Saitama packages and book a trip today.

Things to Do in Saitama

Kick off your Saitama holiday by getting behind the wheel of one of Wotif’s Saitama car hire options and driving over to the Railway Museum. Take a seat in one of the simulators and see what it’s like to be in control of a D51 steam locomotive. Then check out the exhibits featuring locomotives, electric railcars, diesel railcars and imperial carriages.

When all that’s over, make your way to the Hikawa Shrine. This was supposedly the favoured shrine of Emperor Meji. Why he liked this one above all others, we don’t know, but we know you’ll like it too. Why? Because the shrine sits in a large park that also serves as a home to cherry blossom trees, a zoo and museum. Have fun!

Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

What should you do with all that cash you saved through our Saitama package deals? Spend it on yourself, of course! Go to the AEON Lake Town, Japan’s biggest eco-friendly shopping mall, and treat yourself while helping out the environment.

When you finally get hungry, make the 27-kilometre drive to Tokyo and find your way into the Ebisu neighbourhood. Why Ebisu? Because it’s one of the best places in the city to find food. There’s all sorts of restaurants serving up yakitori chicken, wagyu beef and chirashi-don. If you really want to go out on a limb, try some raw horse meat. Be sure to wash all those treats down with sake during holidays in Saitama.

Take a trip to the capital for a couple days by booking one of our Tokyo packages. The nightlife here is something you’ll remember forever (well, hopefully). There are bars and club all over the city, but there’s really only one area you need to go for fun. The Roppongi district is loaded with nightclubs, bars and hostess clubs.

What’s Next?

It’s time for you to get acquainted with the Japanese culture. Check out our cheap Saitama packages and you’ll save tons of money for extra sake. Better decide now if you like it hot or cold!
