Just OK, not great, not bad.
Nothing really good or bad about the hotel. Double room was basic but clean. No power or USB by the bed. Small tv stuck in the corner of the room, not visible from the bed. Staff were friendly.

For the price, I can’t fault Alton House Hotel. The hotel was perfectly clean although some areas were a little dated and tired looking. Staff I encountered were all polite and helpful. The hotel is in a good location for exploring Alton and was quiet at night in my room.

Quaint old hotel, nice little town and good base because it's right next to the railway station. Was only here one night so it was alright. Just a bit rundown and could use some work in the bathrooms.

Good location. Shame about stairs. Coffee at breakfast was cold. Croissants (was not laid out but when we asked they were warm and fresh. The toilet seat needed attention and bath mat mouldy.
