This hotel has seen better days—like, way better. It’s been on a downhill slide for the past five years, and I gave them a pass during COVID, but now it’s like they’re auditioning for a horror movie. At first, I thought it was a prank, or maybe they just forgot to clean the room. But no, it was real. Here’s a highlight reel of my stay: An empty (used) water bottle playing hide-and-seek behind the nightstand. Toenail clippings next to the bed, because who doesn’t love a surprise pedicure? A ripped seat cushion that looks like it lost a fight with a wolverine. Mystery white stains on the blanket—I’ll let your imagination run wild on that one. An electrical outlet hanging out of the wall in the bathroom, adding a touch of danger to your morning routine. To rub a little salt in the disappointment wound, the hotel now charges a mandatory service fee of $20 per day and you must use it as a credit towards the dining room or wine tasting (maybe they should offer pedicures?).

I requested no feather bedding in the room as I am extremely allergic well as a refrigerator for my meds. This was at the time of check in as that’s the only time you can request such. Seems ridiculous that fridges are not in every room esp. for the price. Fridge was not brought until next day. Bedding needed 4 reminders. Again there was no way to contact hotel ahead.

Nice historic hotel . Construction going on in the lobby so it was not as beautiful or functional as usual …. Staff friendly . Valet area a bit chaotic and parking across the street is a pretty big deal breaker . Downtown Spokane is quite a dump like most big cities on the west coast , but lots to walk to so I guess it’s ok if you know what to expect ….

I was super excited to stay at the Davenport, I really don’t every leave any reviews but I thought it would be good to leave one especially since it’s expensive to book a room here. So when we arrived the Bell boy was super attentive so was the front desk. But as we walked into our room it looked clean but when I walked into the bathroom it looked dirty there was a few hairs around the toilet area a used soap bar by the bath tub and more hairs around the shower drain. Than I came out to brush my teeth and there was another used bar soap by the sink that had been used. I understand people are not perfect but they should be more careful when cleaning the rooms. The next morning we had breakfast at the restaurant and I felt like everyone around us were being served and we were just left out for about 30 to 45 minutes. Not sure if they were under staff but I’m not sure if I would ever come back here.

Enjoyed our stay. Could use minor improvements.
Good stuff. Rooms were very large shower is very big, the air-conditioning system didn’t make a lot of noise the building has a lot of interesting history. a lot of good places to eat nearby staff is pretty friendly. Fair price for the hotel. TV and Internet work well. Bad stuff. A lot of homeless activity outside police and fire department activity and excessive amount of noise. Our towels were pretty worn and frayed. Bed was way too soft. Hallways needed to be vacuumed and didn’t smell that great. Lobby was under construction. Small extra charges but not too excessive. Furniture looked old and worn. Overall good stay and good experience.

We have stayed at the Davenport several times and have loved it! I had to give a downgrade on the cleanliness rating because we noticed that the nightstand between our two beds was filthy. It was obvious somebody had spilled something liquid and the front and sides of the nightstand were not cleaned properly. Additionally, we had housekeeping one day, but they didn’t make it to our room until 5pm the next day. We opted for clean towels since we were already back in our room to rest. One of the towels had holes in it which was disappointing. Overall we love the Davenport and will stay again; however, this time we found the cleanliness to be lacking compared to the price point.

We stayed at the historical Davenport for a wedding reception at the hotel and everything about our stay was wonderful. I’ve never been to a more beautiful wedding reception in my life. The flowers, the food, down to every last detail was perfect and magical. The staff went above and beyond to make it a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

We chose this hotel because my friends had a wedding party there. Very beautiful indoor interior, clean room, bed is comfortable, personal are friendly and professional. A nice bonus was the breakfast voucher, breakfast is delicious!
