This was potentially one of the best places we stayed during our two week break - and we enjoyed much of what was on offer. However, the team at the resort let itself down with small issues that we raised and were not acted upon to either rectify or compensate for. We loved the room and the facilities that were supposedly on offer. However, there were small problems - our lift was not working and we had heavy cases to transport up stairs. Two of the pools were closed one afternoon, with no explanation. And, unfortunately, one of our party who is coeliac, was ‘glutened’ in the restaurant and made ill as a result. We raised all of these issues at the time, and were thanked for our feedback, rather than anything being done to proactively improve or compensate for our experience. I appreciate that things can go wrong unexpectedly, but a better customer services team would have shown more care to us, when the problems were politely raised. We were disappointed.

I have stayed regularly at this resort. At least twice a year for the last several years. The Sand Hollow Resort is my go to. I can accommodate my whole group at a reasonable price and with a nice room. The rooms are noticeably aging. This visit, the room has some minor maintenance needs. The common bathroom toilet tank was wobbling. The baseboards were missing pieces and swollen. The carpets are in need of a routine steam cleaning. There are areas where drywall has been damaged on the walls and ceiling. It was patched enough to fill the holes/cracks but is very obvious and never received paint. I would still choose this location again. The golf course is beautiful, the clubhouse has a good restaurant, the price has never been obscene, the pools are always clean, and it always feels like a safe place to bring the kids.

Apparently Owning a UTV makes you not welcome.
No AC for the first day and a half - we were there for a UTV event and front desk treat us as lower class for it - even though most of hotel was full from the event. Asked to park our UTV near hotel so it would be safe (it is licensed) was told it would be towed - then we notice most of the hotel's guest parked there. Once AC was fixed they have a temp of 72 that it must be at or you will be charged - this is in a place where the temps are over 100 several days of the year. We thought it would be nice to stay there since it was close to the dunes for riding, but we would rather tow then deal with the higher price and front desk staffs attitude. Sorry we weren't there to golf, but doubtful I will even go there for that.

Closest restaurant, within 5 miles, was the clubhouse. Went for dinner but was told the kitchen was backed up due to takeout orders so it’d be over an hr before we would get served. Found a food truck nearby and had a great burrito.

This property was breathtakingly gorgeous from our golf course view room. The rooms were spacious and clean, a great place to relax after our long days. We enjoyed many meals at the grille at the clubhouse, the food was great, the price was right and the views again- spectacular. No spa:) but we enjoyed the hot tub to rest our bodies after hiking and running:) We had a great time.

Water pressure was really low & the shower wasn’t very hot. The biggest thing was that check in was at 4:00 pm. I think that the s way too late. But it is a really nice place to stay.

We stay here often and the stay is always good. This time our ac unit didn’t work the first night and that was super rough with 90 weather. The hair dryer in our bathroom also didn’t work, but we didn’t ask for any fixes while we were there and overall the room/stay was good!

The environment is cute. It's quiet and safe. People at the front desk are nice. There's no room available when we arrive at the check-in time. One bed in our room is very wobbly. You need to take care of something before checking out otherwise there will be an additional cleaning fee.

The resort was a great place to stay! Location was great with easy access to amenities and recreation. I stayed in a king suite and the room very very comfortable and clean. The shower was the only let down; basic tub combo I have at home, and water pressure was lacking. The reason it didn’t get 5-stars was because the only dining they have at the resort is HORRIBLE. I was shocked at how long everything took, the food was terrible and cold. I would have said something to my server, only she delivered my food and was never seen again. I was looking forward to my meal, the whole dining experience was a let down. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the resort, just be sure to bring your own food or order delivery.

Nice place with a lot of rules
Place was nice, but had a lot of rules you had to follow. Things like what could be parked where and how much you could adjust the air conditioning. All of these had fines attached to them so it was hard to not feel like management cared more about the rules than their customers. Add to that the dismal pressure in the shower and we won't be back. The place was nice though, just not the type of place for me.
