For two nights it was $600 & after a long day of traveling we were excited to get to the room & chill. Except when we got there & opened the door the room was infested with may flies!!! These bugs were in season & are always worse by the water. But they did nothing inbetween guests staying there they leave the door open to clean the rooms. There were also spiders in the sink, cob webs everywhere. Our currtains were ripped & there was water damage all over the walls. It felt like a bottom of the barrel motel in flint.

Housekeeping never came to clean our room after 3 days. We asked for fresh towels from one of the workers on a golf cart. Very noisy at night from above guests. Not happy about that. Rooms were ok. Not the cleanest bathroom. Overall. we enjoyed the lakefront access from our room.

It was neat to back up to the lake with views and places to hang out. BBQ grill was nice, too. The room smelled quite musty like it had water in it so that was a little unpleasant. Otherwise, it was good.

The sliding glass doors on the patio, we didn't like because it looked shabby, the locks on the one door were fogged up. The blinds were hard to close like they were sticking.

Our room smelled moldy and there was a spider and a few other bugs in our room. It was clean. Out in the beach area the geese have taken over so there’s poop everywhere and in the water.

Hotel needs replaced
The stay was ok but I didn't feel like it was worth $200. The closet had no hanger rod. The sheers on the window only covered half of the window and the drapes would not fully close. The eggs or what ever they were, were terrible. I took one bite and spit them out. The ceiling in the dining room was covered with bugs. I believe it's time to replace that Inn.

Hotel was conveniently located for our stay to visit Mackinac Island, the property was well maintained and staff was friendly, only complaint was the pool area did not stay open late enough. I would stay here again.

Now we know. First time in St. Ignace. If/ when we return, it’ll be to a different hotel. We waited 1.5hrs after check in for our rooms, both of our parties’ rooms smelled like a moldy basement. Pool water was slimy. Overall it appeared this hotel had been neglected for years.

The nicest aspect of this motel is its lakeside location. We had a lake-facing room, and it was lovely hearing the lapping water. Two problems with our stay: (1) The refrigerator wasn't running when we arrived; and (2) a floor lamp wasn't working. I told the staff about these two issues--signs of wear and tear on the facility--and they expressed appropriate regret and did work to address the issues.

I booked a handicap accessible room for my mother who uses a Rollator. Our room required three steps up to access. Which is very difficult. I don't know how you can call that room a handicap accessible room when you cannot access it.
