The staff was fairly unfriendly. Also, they now require a $25/day charge for services that forces the customer to use their restaurant, laundry, etc. or lose the charge.

Beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring the city. the line to check in was an hour long and the food at the restaurant was not the best. But there are plenty of options to choose from around the hotel.

From the outset it looked good but that was just the first ones the rooms were very badly dated and the furniture needs replacing along with the very rude unhelpful and patronising staff. This is just my own personal opinion others may like it .

There is a huge effort to do for the cleanliness of the room. Not worthy of a hotel of this standard

When we arrived, it was readily apparent our room (11-256) had not been cleaned since the departure of the previous guest. However, Rosa (housekeeping) was in the hallway and we alerted her to the situation. She immediately contacted her supervisor, Carlo.he arrived at our door in minutes. Our room was cleaned immediately, and he offered us complimentary cocktails for our inconvenience. I was delighted by the courteous, professional service we received by both Rosa and Carlo.

Booked this room last minute, and man was this place nice. Possibly the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. Now I know where I am staying anytime I go to Chicago. Super convenient location. Soooo nice.

The Palmer Hotel is an iconic property located in the heart of all things Chicago. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was amazing.

The room needed repairs. Wallpaper peeling off every wall, tv did not turn on, bathroom fan didn’t work so pink mold around all faucets and tub, tile cracked in tub. The room needed a lot of love at a rate of almost $300 a night.

We love the historic beauty of this property, but it NEEDS a lot of TLC. The wallpaper in our room was literally peeling from the wall, 1 of our rocks glasses had a piece of glass at the top missing and a lamp shade was stained. Any one of these issue would be irrelevant to the big picture yet non we’re small enough to ignore. The check in line was slow and insane complimented by a $25 fee that gave us a food credit of $10 that was not useable since everything including the bar was closed when we’re were there to use (1 night stay for the Pink concert) and access to the wifi password that wasn’t t even needed. This is not our first stay, but may be our last-we are very disappointed in the Palmer House
