This property was pleasant overall, on a side street in the small town of Tropic. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and saying hello to the friendly goats and mule.
There is a nice yard with a variety of seats and a fire pit. However, you have to have your own starter material (or be a talented scout!)
We chose this over a hotel room because we wanted to be able to prepare food and eat at our stay. Please read the "kitchenette" description carefully -- what is presented is accurate, but we apparently didn't read it closely enough. There is no kitchen sink, for example. No toaster. It's basically a microwave, hot pot, pod coffeemaker and dorm-size refrigerator. Coffees, tea bags and hot chocolate are provided. Two mugs and two small plates, and a few plastic spoons. We ended up buying a package of Chinet bowls to microwave the soup that we had brought to eat.
The king-size bed is very comfortable! It does take up just about the whole room. We used the long bench for our suitcases, but that meant there was no place to sit in the room except the bed. There's a trundle bed under the big bed, but I don't know where you would put it!!
If you have mobility issues, please note in the photos that there is a pretty big step up to the bathroom. As a 65 year old, I would have loved to have a grab bar at the door to steady myself when stepping down from there, especially in the middle of the night.
Despite the issues, we had a pleasant stay.
