Cute, dated, comfy, clean, difficult parking.
A little pricey for what you get. Very small rooms. And do not book if you’re over 6’4. The ceilings were short. But the staff were nice and the bed comfortable. Also- parking is not easy nearby but doable if you’re willing to work for it.

The service here was excellent but it doesn't have a restaurant, and the showers were quite old/ not satisfying, and the fridge went off in the middle of the night with some odd sounds. Overall, the people were really nice but it wasn't the most comfortable stay.

10-15 mins walk to either DuPont Circle restaurants / metro station or Adam Morgan’s restaurants area. Room is clean. Quiet location. Staffs are friendly. We would come back again.

The property itself was very clean and quiet. But they did crash my car with their “valet only” service. DO NOT USE THEIR VALET SERVICES. Now they aren’t trying to take any liability for crashing my car. They are claiming it “malfunctioned”. Worst experience ever. They did comp my room for the stay but I could care less about that. My car is brand new and it’s never malfunctioned.

We were very disappointed in this property. Although it is well located, the room was shabby looking, the carpet wasn't clean, there was no water pressure and when we woke up at 2 AM freezing and the temp in the room was 60 degrees we were given an extra blanket and a space heater (very dangerous) and told "the heat isn't on yet". When we came back to the room after being out for the day the room wasn't made up. When I inquired I was told "you have to ask the day before". We checked in the day before at 9 PM and the woman at the check in, who was not very pleasant, never said a word about having to let then know to have the room made up. I would never stay here again and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location between downtown and Georgetown was quite convenient. Dining options were within walking distance. The price was reasonable for the location in DC. Onsite valet parking for a separate fee. The hotel lobby is stylish minimalist, and while the halls and rooms have a similar vibe they show some age. The bed was comfortable with bedside reading lights. The TV channels are mostly sports and one kids channel; no news channel. Toiletries are standard: soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner. GTK: Housekeeping is by request only (in our case, this was unfortunately neither stated in the room nor conveyed at check-in). Coffee and tea are free during breakfast hours. Breakfast fare includes grocery-store breads, sliced ham, cheese, boiled eggs, flavored yogurts, cereals at fifteen $. There is a lobby HH wine and cheese from about 5-6 pm.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Normandy hotel in Washington DC. Definitely enjoyed the charming architecture of the hotel and great location. The staff was very friendly also the best part of our room was the view out the window and the large shower with a seating area built in. Loved that feature. Definitely a hotel we will keep in mind when visiting DC.
