Approaching the door to the house, we noticed the BBQ grill was full of cobwebs. When we opened the lid, the inside was filthy.
Upon opening the door to enter, there are very steep stairs to the basement to the side of the entry. There is barely enough room to walk inside without fear of falling down those stairs.
There are two steps up to the living room which are in poor light. The owners put some red tape on the edges which is very hard to see. Coming down those two steps always gave me pause.
The house sleeps six, but there is only one couch and two recliners in the living room - not enough room for our party of six to gather and converse.
Two bedrooms are upstairs, but the bathroom is on the main floor off the living room. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep and the treads are very narrow - definitely not to code. We had to leave lights on at night in the stairway and in the living room so that we wouldn't break our necks coming down to go to the bathroom. There is a sign that strongly urges people to use the handrail while on the stairs, but the two handrails were poorly attached to the walls.
We stayed two nights, and were provided with one outdoor garbage can which filled on the second day. As it was our last day in Alaska, we had extra food that needed to be disposed of, but no place to dispose it, so we ended up leaving unopened drink items in the fridge. Hopefully someone was able to enjoy them.
