Property has challenges. First our keys didn’t work and we had to trek back to the front desk for new keys. Night manager was nice and walked us back to make sure the new keys worked. However, we discovered our first room had been flooded and had a terrible mold smell. The carpet was soaked. We asked for another room and were given one of the newly renovated rooms. The carpet was damp in this room but we kept it because it was after 11 pm. Renovation looked ok but bath plumbing was not installed correctly and pipe was wobbly and the shower diverter only worked partially. I wiped up a spill and the bathroom floor was filthy. I think the construction dirt hadn’t been properly cleaned.
Breakfast was just ok. The basic motel fare. The staff was attentive and kept the tables well bussed and the buffet full.
I give the staff five stars, but maintenance and property two to three stars.
