Hit the beach's backyard at Noosa National Park. This protected reserve has a network of easy and moderate walking trails. Wind your way along the coast or explore rainforest and woodlands. The Maroochy Foreshore and Maroochy Botanical Gardens are also popular strolling spots. The craggy Mount Coolum overlooks Coolum Beach. Take on the short but sweet hike to the peak and see panoramic views of the coast and hinterland.
Experience the magic of the hinterland in the Glass House Mountains National Park. Comprising of a collection of jagged peaks amid bushland, this hinterland reserve has challenging summit climbs and easy circuits for all kind of hikers. Highlights include the trails that traverse Mount Ngungun, Mount Beerwah, Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Beerburrum.
Travel a little further to Buderim Forest Park or Kondalilla National Park where intrepid travellers will be rewarded with views of waterfalls, rainforest-shrouded gorges and pristine creeks.
