Adelaide Oval Tours
Follow in the footsteps of sporting legends.
Go behind the scenes at Adelaide Oval and discover some of the inspiring moments that made sporting, musical and civic history in the city. A tour of the much-loved South Australian stadium showcases its heritage-listed highlights and uncovers some of its hidden secrets.
The Adelaide Oval Tour is led by volunteer guides, who take visitors on an exciting journey through the stadium's highlights. Run on to the field and look out across 50,000 seats or climb the stairs that lead up to the 100-year-old scoreboard. Inside the scorer's box, you'll have the best seats in the house. Listen as your guide tells you about some of the historic moments that have taken place on these grounds, including sold-out concerts and nail-biting finals. Get an all-access pass to the players' rooms and find out what goes on during match-day preparations. Explore the Bradman Collection and learn about Australia's greatest cricketer.
For a hair-raising experience, sign up for the Adelaide Oval Roofclimb and take on the top of an Adelaide icon. Take the road less travelled and you'll be rewarded with panoramic views stretching toward distant mountain ranges during the day or the bright lights of the city after dark.
Adelaide Oval is located 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the city centre. Get there by bus, tram or train. Metered parking is available outside. Tickets to matches and tours can be purchased online or at the gates.
