Moke Lake
Moke Lake is a little pocket of paradise, a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle of nearby Queenstown.
Protected from the winds by steep mountain slopes, Moke Lake’s surface is often as smooth as a mirror. An easy walk follows the blue lake’s grassy shore. Boating, swimming, fishing and canoeing are all allowed on the lake. To get your blood pumping, hire a mountain bike to cycle here along the Gold Digger Trail from Lake Wakatipu. Pitch your tent at the small campsite beside the lake to fall asleep under the impressive southern night sky.
