My wife, pet dog Niko, and I traveled for the first time to Big Bear Lake and we stayed at the Sessions Retreat & Hotel for three nights and we absolutely loved it. We travel often and we are always looking for the best places to stay that are central to the city, offer free parking, and are pet friendly. This hotel fit all of our needs. We stayed in their Chalet studio room and the room offered amenities such as a full kitchen, full sized refrigerator, and a microwave. We will definitely be back soon and this is where we will be staying.

Quick one night stay — in the “motel style” part of the hotel. Easy parking, friendly staff. Only two things I would change are to offer more lighting in rooms (VERY dark and dim lighting-even during the day) and also give more towels at the start of the stay. (More hand towels at least for face washing, etc)

I stayed in Logde building Junior Suite. Room is comfortable, but very basic, doesn’t have any table or chair. But all these is compensated by very handy area on the first floor, that has everything: fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas and even fireplace and billiard.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sessions Retreat and Hotel. The staff was nice and attentive. We were invited to an event at their bar and had a really great time. We booked this place as we brought two pups along and this is by far the best pet friendly accommodation I have stayed in. I plan on returning to Big Bear in the near future and I don’t plan on staying anywhere else.

First off the staff is very nice Friendly and accommodating. Great customer service will always be a win for me! The room we got was one of the chalets (Which is super affordable for what you get)it is decorated very nicely boutique style while also still having that cabin feel. 1st night there was a mouse in our room which i mean we are in big bear so it happens but the staff was willing to do whatever it took to make sure our stay was great they even went and bought us new steaks since the mouse took some nibbles out of ours. There is lots to do on the property they do have a really cute bar i was looking foward to but it is only open on the weekends but other than that. It is located just mins from the lake and there is lots of stores nearby. I am extremely happy with my choice of staying at Sessions I highly recommend it. I will definitely be returning for future stays. Much better than an airbnb hands down.

Nicely updated cabin with a fun mid-century vibe. Fireplace was great and the kitchen (though we didn’t use it) was fully equipped. Heater worked well and the bathroom was clean (the only downside is that it was small). Overall, very cozy and comfortable stay!

Due to negligence of the staff, unfortunately our room got broken into in the middle of the night. This is absolutely unacceptable. Never in my life did I think this could’ve happened but it did. This place is not safe at all. Their lounge area remains unlocked all day. There’s no key needed to access it, it can pretty much be accessed by anyone at anytime. This is a guests worst nightmare.
