Cancun Experience We have been back to this property 7 times since 2016. The first time we were so impressed that we continued to rave to others and come back, even bringing people with us. After 2021 this property has gone down in both lack of QUALITY but also QUANTITY! ISSUE 1: Upon checking in, they took us to a Superior Suite room (that was NOT the one I specifically called ahead for) away to someone else. When we got upset and went back to complain the blonde girl at the front desk was rude to my husband. ISSUE 2: Our air conditioning was out for almost two days before it started blowing cool air and someone fixed it. ISSUE 3: The sinks were horrible and the plumbing backed up with brushing our teeth. ISSUE 4: The concierge that was “supposed” to just give us the activity schedule kept following us around the resort to present something in order to get free massages. I had to be firmer than normal to say we weren’t interested. You shouldn’t have them there bothering guests they should get to choose for themselves when and what they we do. ISSUE 5: The elevators were constantly not working before and after a huge rain storm on Wednesday 11/20. ISSUE 6: The pillows and bed were still horrible. We had hoped they would get between but they did not. ISSUE 7: No smoking any longer in the pool area. I get no smoking in rooms and even in the restaurants or front of the hotel, but outside? At the beach? When I’m drinking? Unacceptable. They cut me off so P1 of 2

Beautiful beach area with lots room to lay out. Italian restaurant was great! Great service! The two live bands on separate nights were a treat. Would have loved another band performance on the Friday night vs karaoke. I would come again.

Love this hotel! Beautiful beach area and pool. Really helpful and nice staff. One minus. They had construction going on during the day and second pool is closed. But when I checked online it said that construction until September (I was there in November)

This place is really something special. First, the staff are so friendly and kind; from the bartenders to the entertainment hosts (Stephanie, Rodrigo, Jair: total legends), front desk, restaurant staff and cleaning crew. Everyone is so, so nice. The beach is exquisite and it's not so busy that you're battling for a chair, even if you come down at 11am. There's plenty of space. The crowd, when we were there, was 30-80 age range. Super chill, easy going and friendly vibe. We had a wonderful time playing water volleyball, cornhole, ping pong and other games. There's something for everyone. But seriously: the food is **ridiculously good**. Whether you're getting a comp or paying out of pocket: know that Umami, the Japanese restaurant, can hold its own against any standalone restaurant, and Chianti, the Italian, may have been the best we've had since being in Naples. Some of the best meals on our 9-night Mexican trip. Even the buffets provided many delicious options, fit for vegetarians, vegans and meatlovers alike. Everyone says "the food sucks at all inclusives" and know that it js NOT the case here. And living in Toronto (international food capital of the world), our bar for good eats is pretty high. I'll dream about these meals. Highly recommend NYX! Hope to be back soon!

They gave us the worst ocean view room (only we can see the palm tree and restaurant) first and then they changed to the partial ocean view room much smaller. The sink is plugged up, not enough towels, not enough drinks in the fridge and couldn’t lock the sliding door. There is no hair conditioner in the shower room. The pillows had bad smell (mold). Not friendly staffs except one. They advertise “all inclusive” however very very limit for the food.

I was staying at NYX for a week of November 10-15. I am about to leave this resort with very pleasant memories. First of all, a location was amazing within walking distance to luxurious mall and an aquarium. About 10 min bus drive to a ferry port, and a stop which is just a minute away. Everyone was so welcoming from start to end, DJ and fitness instructors amazing. And most of all, every meal was spectacular with beautiful presentation and good quality. We have zero complain. It’s more than 5 starts I’d like to give even 10 stars ⭐️ !!! Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to stay and enjoy vacation!!!

The bar staff and restaurant staff provided excellent service and were all super friendly! The one thing I would suggest is the Deck restaurant changing their lunch menu daily like they do for dinner. However the food there was really tasty.

There is not one word we can say bad about Hotel NYX , we have stayed here at least 7 times or more … the reason we keep coming back to NYX is from the first time we stayed there we felt like family to everyone there. We have become very good friends with all the people who work there. The rooms are always clean the house keepers go above and beyond to make your room and needs exactly as you want. When we arrive on day one the entire staff knows us by name they greet us with open arms . If you have not ever had a massage OMG this is the place to get one they are heaven .. you can get them on the beach or they now. Have a absolutely wonderful spa inside. I want to mention so many of the staff but I know I will leave someone out so i will say we love them all. And if you have stayed other place as we have you will always return to Hotel NYX. The food is absolutely delicious all the way around We my husband and I love this place and we will continue to return as often as we can
