We have been to 4 Secrets/Dreams properties in the Cancun area and this one has the best beach by far. Maroma has more a "good times" atmosphere, but not over the top/party atmosphere like a Breathless, Riu or the hotel zone. And, the waiters, host, grounds crew, entertainment crew, and maid service are the friendliest we have in many years. We felt special. My negatives verse Akumal are the quiet pool and the party pool at Akumal are separate by green gardens cutting down the noise of activities pool vs. Maroma does not have any separation. Akumal has a few more zen areas and is spread out more. And, the Akkumal disco above the property, so you can see the whole property. I'm going to put Maroma over Akumal. Akumal sets a high bar, but the staff and beach at Maroma would get my vote for the best resort in the Cancun Area.

Secrets Maroma Beach was the perfect honeymoon spot! The service was 10/10 from start to finish. Plenty of food and dining options and the food was delicious (if you like seafood, the grilled fish and ceviche are to die for). The property was super clean - they turn your room 3 times a day. We did the beach and pool cabanas and they are so worth it. Would definitely recommend!!

This is the best resort we have ever stayed at anywhere! It's beautiful, clean, food was great, rooms were excellent and beach was the best!! Will definately be back!! Not one thing wrong.

Just average. Small resort with mediocre restaurants. We paid extra for swim out room and the pool wasn’t heated and too cold to get in. Once we complained they turned on the heat but it was our last day. I’ve been to many all inclusives and it bewilders me how this resort has 5 star reviews.

We went here for our honeymoon. It was the best vacation we ever had in our life and absolutely amazing service from everyone there, especially Miguel being in our concierge, Jessica being a top notch, very friendly cocktail server in the lobby bar and Efrain for a private dinner on the beach was absolutely perfect and he was outstanding would highly recommend this place to everyone and we will be back!

Nice property, but food is mediocre at best. Limited options for breakfast especially. I’d stay at Unico or TRS on a return visit to Riviera Maya.

The property was fantastic. The Drive up was a little off putting because the road was in disrepair. The once we got there everything was great. The staff was helpul with every thing we asked. The food was good not great. some restaurants better than others. All in all a wonderful trip
