I did like the property overall The specialty dining was difficult to get and dining rooms were small except the buffet. I was not impressed with registration process either it was very slow for non diamond members. The service staff was excellent especially Fernando and Sergio.

The staff was awesome! Check in and check out process is absolutely horrible. The rooms are in very poor condition. The process of making reservations for dinner and lunch at the restaurant is a poor process and typically you don’t even get to make a reservations because they fill up too quickly. The only thing that saved this place was the staff. They are absolutely fabulous. The building needs major maintenance. We have major issues with AC.

I liked the resort overall, didn’t like additional upsells and elevator situation is not the best, we received the room after 5 pm only and staff didn’t want to compensate it with the later check out, concierge from Expedia was very helpful and helped us with questions!

I stayed here January 11-14. I was supposed to have arrived on the 10th but arrived late due to weather. The resort refused to allow me a check out on the 15th to cover the missed day. Starting with the cons, my room wasn't as clean or luxurious as advertised. It was an ok room with a great view. Housekeeping was almost non existent. The staff was the most non chalant rude people I've ever encountered on a resort. The worst was at the Italian restaurant. The restaurant closes at 10pm yet they take reservations at 9:30pm only to tell you to hurry up and order because the kitchen will be closing. While trying to order the waiter repeatedly yelled "Whaat" whenever he didn't understand me. The food was horrible and he gave my husband the fish dish that he didn't order. I think they just gave us what was leftover in the kitchen. They also asked us to leave because they closed and was taking up the tables and chairs. Bartenders were not friendly at all and the liquor was cheap. Luis was great, he was serving drinks from a cart in the lobby. You have to upgrade to Diamond Club for decent liquor. I finally got good food and service at the buffet. The salmon and lambchops were very good and the service was better than the restaurants. You have to have reservations for the restaurants. We didn't get to try Chop Stix they were booked. I enjoyed the silent disco party and the DJ was good at the pool parties. They also have shows. Good access to the malls and downtown.

Our family of six recently stayed at the Royalton Chic Cancun from January 11 to January 17, reserving three Junior Oceanfront Suites. The level of service exceeded our expectations, with exceptional attention from the bell staff, front desk, guest services, bars, and specialty restaurants, etc. Every interaction was marked by friendliness and a willingness to accommodate. Two staff members, Damian and Eddy, at the second-floor buffet, stood out with their remarkable hospitality. They treated us like family, creating a warm and welcoming experience that made our stay truly memorable. We’re already planning our next vacation and can’t wait to return

This is the 3rd time we came to this place, first time in 2020 second in 2022 and now but you can see that the company is interested only in milking the $ and they do not wanna do maintenance on it The walls everywhere from hallways to rooms can use some paint because they are very dirty, rust obvious in a lot of areas, glass panels replaced with plywood, in shower where once was a bench is now a ugly patch, and detailes like that everywhere I am very disappointed

This property was absolutely beautiful! Very luxurious but on the smaller side! The food was great but dining options were a little limited due to no reservations! Spa was 10/10 like the best one I have ever been to!

I had to request housekeeing after 2 days of none. My fridge was never restocked. Had to call to get water. The entire hotel is in a state of "hard used" . Will not be returning.
