Went for breakfast 9.15 am sunday with prepaid breakfast and asked if we had a reservation. No one said you needed a reservation Told they are booked out. No other option given such as we can bring it to your room. Unbelievable way to treat paying guests

The location of this hotel was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed the free wine and truffle popcorn during the social hour. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

The property was fine- very standard. The room was nice- spacious closet! The two problems were: 1- bathroom: the face towels had makeup stains on them. 2- a rat joined us for drinks. I’m a New Yorker so I’m used to seeing rats, and I get it Philly is also a bustling city. But rats hanging out IN the bar- not great :-/ what was weirder was the manager tried to make excuses (we’re near an ally, sometimes things happen etc). He didn’t seem alarmed or overly concerned, which was concerning for a hotel that charges $500-$800 a night. They did offer us free breakfast, which we declined (rat gate had just happened in the same restaurant!!) and they waived our parking charge for the night, so I appreciate that gesture. Stuff happens that’s unexpected. But given the attitude of the staff, it may not be that irregular? And for that, I have to give it fewer stars.
