Accommodation In Dallas
Dallas is known as “the big D”, and its motto is “big things happen here”. You’ll find big attractions too: impressive museums and culture, entertainment districts galore and a staggering number of shopping options. Whether you’re a sports fan (check out the Dallas Cowboys!), a pop culture junkie (check out the ranch where the TV show ‘Dallas’ was filmed!), or a fan of something else entirely (like bungee jumping), our Dallas hotels will help you save your pennies during your time in Texas.
History
The most notorious event in Dallas’s history was the assassination of President John F. Kennedy Jr in 1963. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is located on the sixth and seventh floors of an old warehouse and features artefacts, photos and films documenting the President’s life.
Things to do
The Dallas Arts District has 19 blocks of arts and culture, including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the AT&T Performing Arts Centre and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. For a night out, head to one of Dallas’s many entertainment districts, like the nightclubs of Greenville Avenue or the Bishop Arts District’s boutiques.
The Big D has big thrills too! To get your adrenaline pumping, head to Zero Gravity Amusement Park. It’s your chance to try bungee jumping, free-fall 16 stories into a net or fly into the air at the speed of a fighter jet.
Are you a fan of the TV show ‘Dallas?’ Visit Southfork Ranch, the location of the Ewing family home. Sports fans can catch the Dallas Cowboys in action at AT&T Stadium.
Shopping and dining
Shopping is a sport in Dallas, and this city has no shortage of labels and luxury. Galleria Dallas has over 200 stores and restaurants and an ice-skating rink. Highland Park Village is an open-air mall packed with more upmarket names. Dallas Farmer’s Markets is one of the country’s largest markets... and we’re still barely scratching the surface. You can also buy cowboy clothes if you feel like embracing the boot scootin’ style.
Dallas has a decent amount of international cuisine like Italian and Thai, along with its more expected steakhouses and Tex-Mex joints.
Getting here
If you’re ready to go, snatch up one of our flights to Dallas to go with your Dallas accommodation. A hire car is by far the most convenient way to get around Dallas, but if you don’t want to drive, there are buses, trains and taxis too. Book your Dallas accommodation with us and see how interesting, unexpected and just plain fun this Texas city can be.
