Cool but could have been better
Had a late check in, didn’t give me the breakfast voucher or the ocean view. I called the front desk on my cell because the room phone was not working. They switched my room to an ocean view but it smelled like eggs.

The property itself was great. Getting into and out of the hotel was a bit congested because of the one ways around Pacific Coast Highway so I had to loop around to go the other direction.

Great area, great place, but the staff were quite unpleasant. The “ketchup lady”..and I won’t name the type of service area this person would be in, just to not name names, but I told her she forgot the ketchup, and she got very defensive, and she told me that she never makes that kind of mistake. I had just woken up in this beautiful room with a beautiful view of the ocean with my beautiful wife, and going downstairs to pick up my breakfast and I went back up to my room, the ketchup was forgotten, so I went back down to ask for some, and the “ketchup lady” glared at me and just opened her mouth and stared at me for at least 5 seconds, she said she is certain she put it in, and kept saying how she never makes those kinds of mistakes, I then said I don’t mean to be a bother, I said that to just be nice, because I just wanted my ketchup, she just made me feel so uneasy. Also the eggs were not fully cooked on my eggs benedict, pancakes were very dry. The front staff, I asked about the money I had used so far for room service and other expenses, and how it worked with my $79 extra deposit I had to do before entering our room, and the lady explained it to me but I asked again to be certain and she said “Again…” and she got flustered at me thinking I’m a little slow brained for still not being certain of her answer the first time. The only 2 staff individuals that me and my wife appreciated were the valet guys, they were kind, quick, and made us feel like real guests.

The resort was nice but paying 40 a day to park was expensive. Missed that when I booked via expedia. Also, the staff were great but I wanted to extend a day and spoke to the front desk to arrange. I had booked 2 rooms and the hot water in the shower would just stay warm so I had the family change into our room. Front desk noted all my concerns and extended the stay. The next day when I checked out of one of the rooms, the front desk person told me that no extension had been made but she could add it for a dollar amount. I was surprised and just said go ahead. She understood that new people were moving into the room but said it was not their policy to clean the room. I said I wanted the room cleaned since it was a new booking (at full rate) but basically ran me around in circles on getting the room cleaned. Front desk needs training and the lady should be let go of. I stay at hiltons often and they always seem professional but this time, not so. The front desk staff get a 0 for a rating. Dropped the ball for everything in dealing with them, including fixing the broken shower.

Highly disappointed
Highly disappointing.. there was no power for more than half my stay causing multiple issues during my stay including being locked out of my hotel with no shoes or access in without walking around the entire building without any of my belongings .. walking the entire venue to access my car with my children in pitch black garage was also a challenge while trying leave and transfer everything back to my vehicle. The venue provided no compensation and still charged me the parking fees.
