The lady who checked us in was helpful and welcoming. The room was very small. Visually it appeared clean but there was a strong urinal-like smell throughout that made our stay very uncomfortable. We had to leave all windows open and the fan working but still couldn't sleep with the strong smell.

Nice hotel. Conveniently located to bus and restaurant. The town doesn’t have much except helicopter tours, hotels, restaurants. No shopping transportation or tours. Was a peaceful location and pleasant atmosphere

Was a very nice place for one night stay to see Glaciers. Karen, the manager of the hotel, was amazing and gave us some great tips to see the glaciers and suggestions on restaurants.

Fox glacier is a sleepy town. If you want to stay more than 1 night, I would recommend Franz Joseph instead. The property is convenient and the woman who checked us in extremely nice and helpful. The bed was decent, but had a lump in the middle. Bathroom was large and very clean.

Despite booking months ago we were "double booked?" We were not contacted about this until we went to check in? We were sent to another facility which was a tiny gloomy room under a stairwell. After querying why we were not given the option of finding something else earlier we were treated to a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning which we appreciated. But we were utterly dissappoined with th situation.

The reception staff was excellent. She offered lots of dining, trail and travel suggestions. The room was extremely spacious. The kitchenette was well supplied. The bed was very comfortable. The room was surprisingly quiet. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying in Fox Glacier.

The lady at reception was very welcoming. I had a lovely spa bath, which was such a treat. It took me quite a long time to figure out how to get water in the bath, so some instructions would have helped a lot. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.. thank you
