An honest review with a twist

We found the rooms to be less than good. The beds were uninviting, very hard, was hoping for “floating on a cloud” feeling. There was a dirty Kleenex under the night side table, the vacuuming and dusting was less than acceptable, and the bathroom was dirty, toilet seat wasn’t wiped, when you looked at the ceiling it was full of dirty water drops. The reason for my harshness is the price tag of the room. You need to do a complete Reno then you can charge what you do. 200.00 a night would be reasonable. The hot tub was also out of order on Friday night. All that being send we loved our stay. Your staff and the beautiful main resort are lovely, the ambiance in the lounge was very relaxing. The scenery and out door adventures certainly help add to the overall stay.

Gorgeous location, cozy rooms, but outdated.

Beautiful location and cozy rooms, albeit outdated for sure. The drivers in the vans were super friendly and welcoming. But the worker at the check-in desk was not very helpful and hardly explained how the shuttle system worked, which made things a bit confusing. I think it was worth it for the $200 we spent to stay here in the Winter for sure, but can't say I could justify spending $700+ here per night in the Summer.

Amazingly beautiful and peaceful, property. We had our small wedding ceremony here and loved the beautiful setting. The staff is kind and helpful. The lodge itself is cozy with wood fireplaces in every room. The Point Cabin is to die for! The 180 degree views of the lake are breathtaking.

The location is beautiful surrounded by mountains. It's very quiet and peaceful. The cabin we stayed in was a bit small and dated but it had a nice fireplace and balcony with a lakeview which was fantastic. There are no tvs or fridges in the cabins. There is no service either but it helps that there is wifi, although it might get spotty in some areas, the strongest signal is at the lodge. We ate at Mount Burgess, the service and the food were great, although pricey. If you're looking to disconnect and just relax then this is a perfect place to do that. There are alot of areas for skiing and walking.

Emerald Lake Jan 3- 5 2025

Food was great, portions were on the small side. Coffee was ok, but they dropped the organic coffee a while back. To bad it was good. Breakfast is a buffet, ok but Eggs were cold today! Staff changes every 8 months, but Chef has been there for decades so food is great, just small portions. We have stayed there 15 times in the past 12 yrs. Winters are the best not so crowded.
