This is our 4th stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki and my wife and I have enjoyed all of our stays here. Great location, great staff and given it's design, there was many options for great views of Waikiki. Yes, many of the rooms are showing their age but it appears they are slowly being remodeled. We would like to thank all the staff including the front desk, housekeeping and at the Regency Lounge. Jaimie who helped us check in was very helpful and kind. At the Regency Lounge, we had appreciated the whole team's professionalism and service, including: Neil, Mark, Cris, Kealoha, Conner, Tiffany, Emiko and Yuki. You all made our trip wonderful and we look forward to coming back. Globalist benefits were recognized and we were upgraded to a high floor, ocean front room, club access, and more. We had two minor hiccups that were not the hotels fault but they did address immediately (thank you Security team). Valet parking was smooth but pricey and the team up front were fast, friendly and helpful (thank you Frank). We will be returning and always looking forward to our trip here.

This hotel has a wonderful location and beautiful views. The hotel itself is ok, but definitely showing its age. Peeling wallpaper, worn looking carpet, jerky elevators, archaic parking structure. The staff is very pleasant, and the room is comfortable, but it all feels very old. Time for a refresh.

The Parking was terrible, everything else was great. However, the rooms do feel pretty old for the price you're paying. Unfortunately for us, during our stay there was a huge construction project happening next door, so we wouldn't get any quiet in the morning, waking up really early

The room was large, bed was comfortable, nice amenities. loved the use of chairs and towels. Umbrella rental was very close. The location is great, across from the beach, close walking to shops and nice restaurants and close to the park. Best location in Waikiki.

Our stay at the Hyatt regency in Waikīkī was just about a total nightmare. For 4 days out of the 8 nights we spent at the hotel, we were awoken by a group of the Hyatt hotel employees protesting outside at 7AM on the dot with drums and megaphones. Even though we were on the 7th floor, we could still hear them loud and clear through the sliding glass door to the balcony. There was also another morning when we were awoken by drilling/ construction noises at 8AM from what sounded like the room directly above ours. There is also a restaurant/bar across the street with open walls that blasts loud music until 2AM each morning that also easily comes into the room making it hard to relax/sleep at night. To top it off, one would expect a 4-Star hotel to have their rooms in top condition but our room had clear wallpaper patches, uneven ceiling paint and even what appeared to be some water damage on the wall corner near the air conditioner vent. Overall this felt more like a 2-Star hotel at times and I was highly disappointed by my experience here.

I enjoyed our stay this week in Hawaii with our family. We enjoyed the local eateries and walkable entertainment centers. However, our check in experience was not very pleasant as the lady helping us was rude and talked over us whenever we had a question. It’s as though she may get the question asked often or was just irritated that we didn’t just provide our credit card, accept keys and leave her alone. So that was very unpleasant. Also, the parking is absolutely ridiculous. For us, who traveled with a family of 5 and 2 extra family members- 7 of us total- we rented a car to get around and explore around the island. We rented a full size SUV which was very hard to utilize parking structures because of the height, but to charge your guests a daily parking fee of $50 each night was just completely atrocious. And valet was $70 / they had the first 5 floors and the rest was shared between guests and public parking. We even had to park offsite and the market place one night. Parking should be included for hotel guests in my opinion and if it’s not, the price shouldn’t be more than what it costs to fill up a tank of gas for a week. Moving on, the hotel grounds were nice and maintained, the rooms were spacious but outdated a bit (especially the showers) but nothing we couldn’t get passed. Our hotel room faced the downtown area and sunset (beautiful) so we were satisfied. Overall our stay was good and comfy.

This hotel was across from the beach, which was great. However, it was in a busy area so if you are looking for seclusion take that into account. Check in was easy, except the website only mentions the $49 a night resort fee. On top of that, there is a $50 a day incidental charge which we were not prepped for. . Uber was able to get to us with ease. We did have issues with delivery for food and had to go down multiple times. The room we were in needed some upgrades for the cost- paint was worn, spots around the room, water spots in the bathroom ceiling. Was definitely shocked to see a Hyatt property in that condition. The property was upkept and the shops were good. Staff was friendly for those we encountered. We enjoyed the Luau dinner offered.

The property is in need of major renovation, especially the bathrooms. I was initially put in a room where the bathtub is bubbly and soft when you stand on it. It felt like it was about to give out. The paints were chipping in several areas in the room. You can hear outside noise at all times.
