Developed severe food borne illness after consuming their “sleep well” tuna wrap. Experienced disappointing customer service through the entirety of my visit with the exception of the pool restaurant food & staff. Over priced, understaffed, and poor customer service unfortunately leaves me never wanting to return. Arrived to celebrate my daughter’s friend’s birthday and had to forgo festivities because I was so sick. Manager only offered to comp the meal. Towels run out quickly and out of luck if you want to sit at pool after 4. Also beach staff will make you get towels from the pool which is inconvenient and frustrating when traveling with toddlers. I’ve stayed at Westin before and this was nothing like service I’ve had at other 4 star hotels. Disappointed to say the very least. Won’t be back. Room had lots of bugs and had cleaning staff clean off a larvae nest on ceiling of room. Took forever to checkin. Book direct might be the way to go. Seems like they don’t care about Orbitz guests.

We spent four days at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort during the last week of June and LOVED every minute of it! This property is pristine and peaceful, with numerous spots to relax and view the ocean. Every member of the staff that we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, from the valet to check-in to housekeeping. On our first morning there, we went to the breakfast buffet, which is BOUNTIFUL and DELICIOUS! When our server found out that it was our 20th wedding anniversary, she brought us complimentary guava mimosas and a huge serving of bananas foster. It was very sweet! And, although we enjoyed the restaurant meals, we found that the little "grab and go" market provided quality hot breakfast items (which was great for the day we left for a tour at 6:30am) as well as tasty sandwiches and salads for light dinners or quick lunches (and it is inexpensive). The coffee bar was a convenient necessity as well. For beach and pool time, we found that the umbrellas, beach chairs and towels were plentiful; we never went without The ocean here is pretty and nice to swim in, but if you want to experience a truly GORGEOUS beach with crystal clear water, go to the beach at Mauna Kea. You can hike the one-mile trail along the shoreline (which we did) OR take the complimentary hotel shuttle (it runs every half hour). It's heaven! I stayed in the ocean there all day and never wanted to leave... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hapuna Beach resort. It was well worth the expense!

Beautiful facility . Great beach access. Lovely place to walk in the morning and night time. Very safe and clean. Be aware of the $37 daily resort fee and the $35 parking fee. This will be added to your bill every day.

Poer outage for a full day. Beacg are a disaster (full of debris), family pool deck under reconstruction (jack hammers ongoing throughout the day), limited restaurant options.

If you like an overpriced, pretentious and soulless environment, you’ll feel right at home here. Mundane food and beverage options that are above market prices, and aggressive marketing campaigns for their time share properties around the world. If you want true Aloha spirit, find somewhere else to stay, and return only the Hapuna State Park next door.
