Overall, I was disappointed. First, I think I paid a bit more for a room with a partial ocean view. I’m not sure there’s any way to specify whether you get a ground floor or second floor room. I got a ground floor room, and it’s not great. Folks walking by outside get a clear view into your bedroom and it’s a bit uncomfortable. But not a deal breaker. What really bothered me was the condition of the furniture. Chairs were horribly stained and frankly, dilapidated. I’m shocked they kept them in a room that costs over 300/night. When my fiancée mentioned the chairs, the young lady working the front desk casually mentioned they were going to be thrown away soon. Yikes. If they’re headed to the trash, maybe don’t keep them in the rooms?
That leads me to my second complaint - the staff. They were nice enough. But the majority appeared to be under the age of 25. It felt like several college kids running a hotel. Nothing against young folks working an honest day, but the level of service and attention to detail was commensurate with - well - 20 year olds.
Finally, the hotel offers nothing in terms of basic amenities. They claim to partner with the cow tipper down the road for room service. But the QR code on the menu didn’t work. So we tried to call them on our cell, and the cow tipper didn’t answer. Maybe the front desk knows how to order? No luck, the phone in the room didn’t work. What a mess.
There’s plenty of options in the area. I cant recommend this one.
