The room was very very nice. The hotel was located near a train station, grocery stores and multiple bus stops. Nevertheless, the one thing we didn’t like was that fact that they don’t change your bed sheets or do your bed (how other normal hotels do) unless you stay for more than 5 days. They only changed towels and take out the trash.

Overall my stay was fine. The area where I was a bit concerned was the mould smell in the bathroom. There was no seal around the tub and water gets behind it and there did appear to be active mould.

The area was quiet but close to 2 7/11 and across the st is a family mart. There’s also a pharmacy around the corner. The train is just across the street to go to Kyōto and another Randen train station is also across the st going to Arashiyama. The bus stop is also close by. Across the street is a Daiso and Seria. We would stay again. The place is a good location.

Great property in heart of Kyoto. Easy access to all bus lines ( it is transportation hub) along with jr train lines. Use JR pass to get to every major tourist attraction in city. Only thing missing is a pool .

Perfectly located around the corner from Omiya Station to get to Kyoto central and the Randen train line to commute to Arashiyama, as well as nearby bus stations, convenience stores, pharmacies and vending machines. The reception staff are very helpful, and assisted us 24/7 in booking massages, dinner reservations as well as helping with laundry. Great value for the quality of rooms and high level of customer service - I would highly recommend Hotel M Plus Shijo Omiya to anyone wanting a clean, cost-effective and conveniently located accommodation in Kyoto.
