Nice clean place to stay and staff were excellent but disappointed that the air conditioning wasnt working in summertime and we weren't advised of thid at check-in. There was a sign on the air conditioner in the room only. Thry did provide a fan though.

Convenient situation, have stayed there several times over past 10yrs. The hotels condition is getting rather tired. Found left over litter & dust behind bedside cabinet when locating a socket outlet and shower curtain was a little mouldy along bottom edge otherwise ok. No tea towel, cutlery & plates in the room The beds are very good, just the right comfort. Good shower water pressure, clean linen & towels, hotel service is friendly. V/good breakfast & service.

Nice old pub with period features in the rooms and common areas. Friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Only issue is no lift if you are not as mobile as you used to be but staff helped with luggage but staff helped with that. Overall an enjoyable couple of days

"The public areas are very good, with lots of sporting amenities for families, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Location is excellent if you are happy to be out of town a bit - approx. 10 minute drive. But the rooms are a little dated and in serious need of a refresh (at least ours ..."

"Our stay was fine but the rooms were tiny. There is no room to store a suitcase flat. Bed was comfortable and showering our room was good."
