Very nice appartment with a lovely view of the Puerto Rico and ocean in a distance. Some noise coming from the nearby appartment due to refurbishment being carried out but this is expected in winter months.

Very nice apartment. Clean, Tidy. Pool was lovely, and it was a great location for sunbathing. The staff were very polite, too. Only difficulty was gaining a connection to the free WiFi. Numerous devices I had suffered the same problem.

Spent a very comfortable 11 nights at Canaima, and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our apartment was plenty big enough, beds were comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. Almost daily maid service and always new towels, which weren't really needed! The apartment complex is up in the cliffs, and yes, plenty of steps to climb when coming out of our apartment, and going into the town and beach. Being mobile is essential, although a taxi is only 2.50-3.00 Euros, which is fine if your legs have given up! The pool area was really nice, two splash pools and a swimming pool. Plenty of beds available, and the astro turf made it look nice. The pool bar was fine, had lunch there one day, which was perfect. Though we didn't try breakfast (cooked our own). Very clean, excellent. Didn't really like the commercial centre though, loads of restaurants and bars, bit too noisy for us. Couple of supermarkets to stock up in - wine there was cheap! We preferred the restaurants down by the beach - a bit further to walk, but nicer. Did a couple of boat trips - Mogan is a must! So pretty. All in all, very good, but wouldn't really go to Peurto Rico again.

Relaxing & quiet holiday until ......
Lovely week away for our 2nd stay at the Canaima. Room with balcony and sight of the sea, very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff are very helpful but shame the pool bar closed at 3.30pm in the afternoon. There are plenty of pubs/restaurants within walking distance and lots of steps!! This is an adults only hotel which was great until we had the inconsiderate & rude twenty somethings move in next door!!

A good find!
I usually thoroughly research holiday properties but chose this one as a spur of the moment decision. However, it was a good find and perfect for what I was looking for. Ideal that it is adults only especially as I stayed there during the school summer holidays. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and had good facilities - complete kitchen, crockery etc. It was nice to have a balcony as well but didn't spend that much time there. I spent most of my days by the pool and I noticed that some apartments/hotels nearby didn't seem to have as many deckchairs/space by the pool as this one. I enjoyed a mojito or two from the pool bar, however, it was only open from 10am till 3.30pm. The staff at the hotel were polite and helpful. It was a 10 minute walk to the shops, where there is a supermarket, restaurants etc. Puerto rico beach is ok but Amadores beach is better, but it is about a 30 minute walk. I think the only downside to the apartment was that you could hear noise from the apartment upstairs, even knew when they were in the bathroom!

Brilliant value for money and excellently equipped - combo oven, fridge freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, safe. Over 280 steps from apartment to shopping centre but a taxi back was between 3 and 4 euros depending on the time of day. The reception staff were extremely friendly and always helpful Can highly recommend the accommodation

Like a Butlins Chalet but in a better location. Mould and damp. Nice size room. Cleaners were prompt. I asked for a good view when I booked and got put on the ground floor with a balcony facing the main road so I was abit annoyed at that. There’s also no air conditioning and they charge for fans. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was well priced but there was a few things that let it down. Will start with the positives... pool area very nice not over crowded. Overall the outside areas where nice. And the staff were in general pleasant. Now for the negatives... room not that clean. Scuffs all over the walls. Rooms where very hot with not air on or even fans. The food in the pool bar was very good and well priced but on one occasion was served mouldy bread. Rooms to say they had been just refurbished where tatty. Wallpaper and paint peeling.

ANTONIO Was amazing after problems with our transfers he helped repeatedly untill it was sorted and always with a smile. MANY THANKS. We had a wonderful stay.p.s. bit noisy at night but that would happen wherever you stayed as music travelled up from the town..take earplugs..still well worth staying at this hotel .

Lovely modern hotel, in a good central location. Only problem we found was on the first day the room was infested with ants. The room was boiling, although the next day we hired a fan for the duration of our stay, for a reasonable price. As adults only, the pool area is very relaxed and quiet making it the perfect place to chill out. Great value for money.

This is my second visit to Canaima this year and will defineatly return again.The apartments are modern immaculately clean and well equipped for all your needs.They have a full size fridge/freezer which is fab for stocking up on your essentials and the beds have memory foam mattresses which make for a very comfortable sleep.The whole relaxed atmosphere is the reason I've been for a 2nd time (no getting up at stupid o'clock for sunbeds I'm on HOLIDAY) and also very central for beach,commercial centre and bus station to visit all of the beautiful island .I've been coming to Gran Canaria for 15 years (my daughter lives and works here ) and can highly recommend Canaima the staff are very helpful and friendly and the whole complex is kept spotless.

Relaxing stay and friendly staff
The one and only downside to these apartments is the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. Everything else was great - very clean, friendly cleaning staff and lovely reception staff, lifeguard on duty at the pool, nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds, some free parking outside for guests, space to leave luggage after checking out. It is located on the hillside though, so wouldn't recommend staying here if you're not okay with steps or don't have a car.

Nice clean modern hotel
Stayed for a week and the only thing i can say negative about the hotel is no air con in the rooms. Rooms are fresh and modern, great pool and location. Choice of drinks could be better but overall my stay there was a solid 8/10
