The check in time took too long; 4 staff were attending to people checking in but the queue was the longest I've been on since I've started using Hotels.com. I was on it probably at least 30 mins! Other than that, the staff were helpful and friendly. Outside noise present throughout the night...not sure if it was because we were only on the 16th floor (?). The sink had a crack on it. Not sure if the rooms had ever been upgraded since the hotel was built. The mattress was firm but lumpy on some areas. The view was breathtaking, though :)

You have a great view from the riverside rooms. never rent parking at the hotel you can find very cheap parking lots around the hotel. No breakfast only coffee at the lobby. Not special room accommodation but I told you is one of the few hotels that have the best view of falls both/

This was the 2nd time we were told when we arrived after a 30 minute wait in line that they had a maintenance issue in the tower (overbooked probably) and were sent to another hotel

Dear future visitors, I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We booked 2 rooms with queen beds riverview for $481 and when we were checking in, the front desk lady advised our rooms were on the ground floor & for $40 more for each room she can upgrade us to the 2nd to 7th floor & she also advised that the parking was NOT INCLUDED, it was additional $50. I also paid cash for one of the rooms & the front desk lady put as a security deposit (the front desk lady who was checking us out advised us that & we had to tell them that is not what we paid for (security deposit they had already charged on my husbands credit card). We advised that last time we stayed here, our rooms door did not lock properly, the washroom and room was dirty & to ensure if we can get a clean room. She advised our rooms were on the ground floor & for $40 more for each room she can upgrade us to the 2nd to 7th floor & then put us on the 2nd floor & then said she would put us on the 2nd floor without charge. We walked into our rooms & noticed the bedsheet a few hairs, the bedrest had stains, the washroom was tiny, the ceiling had a few webs & the room was right infront of a staircase door (very noisy). When checking out we complained about the rooms & they gave us vouchers to applebees @ 11:30am for breakfast that ended @12pm. We went to apples the breakfast was terrible.. if we wanted any toppings to the omelette it was $4 extra charge & steak $5. Oaks customer service is the worst.

I didn't like that we DID NOT have soap or body wash and the container was empty. Service was very slow and when I called to ask for items that we were missing in our room they didn't come and I had to tell them again in the morning to deliver them.

The hotel itself was very nice. Check-in and check-out was quick and ready. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On site parking is a plus if you can get it. Lobby area was always clean and there was free coffee. We stayed in the Tower on the 10th floor. Room was clean and over thelooked the falls. Beautiful view! Saw the fireworks show each night over the falls. Beds we're decent. The only thing I can say that was not okay about this room was the bathroom! It was so small! I've been in some handicap stalls that we're bigger!! Overall, I'd recommend this hotel.

Parking costs $77 total. There are hidden fees when you get to the hotel. A "Hotel fee" of $16 is charged when you arrive. It was paid on Expedia but the reception said it was an "additional fee". The reception was slow. I stood in front of 2 check-in agents and they ignored me. I waited about 10 minutes after the first guy acknowledged me, and he said the other agent would help me.

It was conveniently.locted and the room was clean but not fancy. We paid for courtyard unknowingly it is only the second floor. So no view of the falls. It wasnt clear when booking. I feel as if it was a bait and switch since the hotel is a high rise and tauts views of the falls as a selling point. Courtyard was actually a view of the applebees parking lot. So abimal view. Secondly. This is not.really the oakes hotel. Its a motel that the Oakes Hotel purchased and broke through to. So we paid a glorified couryard room cost of $150plus tax only to get a motel room. It would have been nice if the check in person offered us the tower room for an extra fee. But that option was not given to us. I would have gladly paid the difference of $20 !
