Possums Retreat - Private Spacious Cottage with Hydrotherapy Spa

Possums Retreat is nestled among the bamboo and trees in a garden setting on a 4.5 acre property. It is ideal for a peaceful, tranquil get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Relax on the large deck and soak up the sounds of nature. Guests have access to the grounds and the small dam. It is a quick 2 minute drive to Maleny town centre or a 30 minute walk via Parkland Drive and the Maleny Trail.

The retreat provides a modern, clean and quiet living space in a garden setting. The front door opens into the open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area. The kitchen has new appliances including a fridge, stove top, microwave oven, dishwasher and coffee machine. There is ample cupboard and counter top space and is finished off with wooden bench tops.

There is a television with DTV, Netflix and Stan in the living area. The side wall of the living area is made up of two French doors on either side of the wood burning stove. The doors open up on to the large deck offering a panoramic view of the garden and surrounding valley and trees. A large ceiling fan ensures you remain cool no matter what the weather. There is a four seater table and a BBQ.

The bedroom overlooks the resplendent Jacaranda tree, gardens and Macadamia trees through French windows. It has a remote controlled ceiling fan and a Queen bed with all linen is provided. There is also a television in the bedroom with DTV, Stan & Netflix.

There is also a reverse cycle air conditioner in the bedroom, capable of cooling and heating the entire house.

The en-suite bathroom is accessed through the barn door and has a separate toilet, large rain shower, large vanity, bath and heated towel rail. Towels and amenities are provided.

The side deck has the hydrotherapy spa and a small seating area with access down into the garden. The area is fully enclosed and very private and for the exclusive use by the guests staying at Possums Retreat. The spa is NOT shared with any other guests on the property.

An extra single bed with all bedding is available for use in the lounge area. There is an extra charge of $30.00 if this is required when only 2 guests are staying.

Other Details to Note:
* A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided for you In the Cottage, which includes, freshly baked multigrain bread, croissants, local seasonal fruit, yoghurt, muesli, eggs, milk and juice. We also provide a selection of teas and coffee pods.

* Enough wood for the indoor fire is provided for your stay. The wood cradle will be filled and kindling, firelighters and matches left.

* Wifi, Netflix & Stan are provided free of charge.

* Our property is semi-rural and is not on town water or sewerage. Our water comes from rainwater tanks and we have a waste water treatment plant. The house has its own tank and the water is perfectly safe to drink (but may be discoloured).

* Small pets (less than 10kg) are welcome.
Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture. The property has a designated "wildlife corridor" for our local wallabies, possums, bush turkeys, etc. and as such is not fenced.
Due to the native bird and wildlife on the property, dogs are not allowed outside on their own and preferably not off lead. We do ask that you not leave your dog at the home alone for long periods of time but understand that sometimes you have to for a couple of hours (e.g. going out to dinner).

* There are free range chickens on the property.
