We have visited property quite a few times, but this last time was not as enjoyable as others. When we checked in about 2hrs prior, we incurred an unexpected early fee. Room needs upgrades. During stay we requested bathrobes upon check in. After waiting a few hours, we contacted the front desk but was informed that Hilton no longer provides them. I was able to put in a request after going to the front desk. When I arrived at the front desk, two employees were discussing Hilton does provide bathrobes but neither contacted the guest requesting bathrobes to honor the request. Poor customer service.

Needs a major upgrade. This hotel is very old and tired. The carpets and walls are dirty and the furniture is shabby. Front desk guy was not friendly when we checked in late evening. Will not stay here next time.

Our room was clean. However, for the 4 days there the hallway on our floor was dirty-cracked plastic ware, crumbs, didn’t smell fresh. The food cart in the lobby was closed too early for us to buy anything. The window darkening shade handle was broken. This hotel that I have stayed at since it opened is tired in the public space.

Even though we visited during their off season, we were still able to find things to do. They had the pool still open and the restaurant had very delicious options to choose from, with local options within walking distance.

Front staff needs training in problem solving.
Couldn't log into internet first night-called desk, told to do something impossible to do. Gave up. In a.m. called desk to report both televisions out. Told they'd tell maintenance in 1.5 hours when they came in and they'd come to room. NOT a problem in the room, it's a cable provider problem. BUT this person was able to tell me how to connect to internet. Television out throughout the morning. Next day the channel guide went out and stayed out. Went to front desk. Was told, "Look on the bright side, you are at the beach." How dare you? Provide what I am paying for at an average of $360 a night for five nights. And fruit flies in the kitchen and bathroom entire stay. Front desk did offer food comp, which I did not accept; a food comp would not solve the issues. Rooms need refurbishment. In the meantime, more attention to room cleaning and maintenance is necessary. Bed comfy and balcony enjoyable. Kitchen more than meets my needs and is the main reason I stay here. Always quiet in the rooms. As a side note, not my first stay, but I'd like a better experience for the price. When did the Hilton brand switch from professional blazers and oxford shirts to golf shirts?
Rust on makeup mirror. (Not hard to replace.)

Our room was filled with fruit flies, so we spent a lot of time dealing with that. And our screen door didn’t work, it kept falling off the track or getting stuck and we couldn’t get it to move. Otherwise the stay was good. Nothing extreme, but for the premium price we’re paying to stay there I do expect a bit more upkeep.
